Yes I've seen those threads. On any 'who is the worst/most rude celebrity you've met', Cilla is always Top of the list. People who have met her and worked with and for her dislike her intensely.

You know I didn't have British TV for 14 years. I switch back on and there is Cilla bloody Black, Noel Edmonds all over the shop and Carol Vorderman has been promoted from afternoon channel 4 to heading up Loose Women.

There's just no excuse for it.

I have been bitching on to anyone who will listen about the state of French TV, and I have now realised that everything is copied from British TV. Loose Women, check, every sodding reality TV show, check, incuding CDWM. All kinds of game shows, all lifted from British TV. Which I had been saying to everyone who would listen was far superior to French tv, but now can blame for French TV.

At least if Cilla sodding Black did a do you know who I am over here, they'd go, erm, no.

And Sue Barker. Mght be a national treasure to some, but how is she still presenting Wimbledon with the same music and the same people (though, thank God, Henman has now put down his racket)

My mum has been holding a grudge against cilla since the 60s. She knew her a little bit in the old days. Never quite worked out what it's all about but we were gutted we were never allowed to watch Blind Date without my mum grumbling all the way through about what a cow she is.
