Junior Doctors -why the blood obsession?

Every 2 minutes they're taking blood samples! Surely there is a lot more to being a junior doctor than needle skills!

Only just spotted it's on - missed it.Is it a repeat?

I know ..how dull
I guess they think it makes good telly watching them fail at something

From memory of being a junior dr my day consisted of blood samples (masses of them), writing forms requesting stuff, writing prescriptions and asking/begging for stuff on the phone and wandering round the hospital requesting stuff. That was pretty much it.

Of those, blood samples make better telly

That's true kundry....but not if you're squeamish like me!
