And they said yesterday that playing speidi persona for so long has been draining.

Why don't they just be themselves then? Oh no, wait - they are. Nobody could keep up that level of venom and sheer miserable demeanour 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for so long.
Not even them.
It's supposed to be a reality show. As in 'reality'. They are so far removed from reality and off in Cuckoo Land they don't know what reality is any more.
They come across as inhuman. People might warm to them more if they came across as you know, actual people.
Oh and how the actual fk do they interact when they've isolated themselves (literally) from the second they've walked through the door?! They've just been off somewhere by themselves and refused to do any of the tasks properly, if at all. Confused

vjg13 · 22/01/2013 13:30

I think the fuss and hysteria over the letters is madness. They all only have a few more days and are picking up wads of cash for being there. Trisha should have put a bit more thought into the order of importance in case there was a twist.

Speidi are odd but I do think they are entertaining.

mrsjay · 22/01/2013 13:30

If they thought it would revive their career it won't they are just a whole new level of bonkers but last night they did up it Shock I did think it was funny but in an OMG no they cant sort of way,

sweetestB · 22/01/2013 13:33

Well than, so be it. As long as their are not killing anyone so what? Let them be whatever they want to be and they will accept whatever consequences the British public reserve for them. None of the others are being themselves, they are trying to be too nice and PC a part from Ryan. It is a reality show in a sense there is no script and it's not mandatory to act, but it's a GAME more than anything else.

sweetestB · 22/01/2013 13:38

I meant Rylan is the only one not trying to be PC, but I eat my words as actually he shaved his beard just to be, 1 extra nice, 2 PC.
It was a nice twist that Clare didn't win her letter anyway..

mrsjay · 22/01/2013 13:41

I think Rylans real name is Ryan if i remember right

sweetestB · 22/01/2013 13:44

at least that is what my tablet thinks. I have to fight for it to let me write Ryan's name

sweetestB · 22/01/2013 13:45

see? RYLAN, stupid tablet

limitedperiodonly · 22/01/2013 14:38

They're interesting only by default.

If people had stuck together and, more importantly, CBB hadn't given them several helping hands they wouldn't have coped.

Heidi would have turned on the waterworks and they'd have been whining in the Diary Room about anti-Americanism until they were voted off.

SpanishFly · 22/01/2013 14:58

Emma's hair was ridiculous last night - she looked like she'd fallen out of bed.

Stila · 22/01/2013 15:16

Claire has had her letter - it happens every year and not only in BB (Hugo in I'm a Celeb ).... Rylan read it out to her and no doubt BB golden boy was also given chance to win it for her .

I thought the body language woman on BOTS summed up the whole clapping thing perfectly and fits in with the clip I thought I'd seen on BOTS .

Bakingnovice · 22/01/2013 15:32

Claire needs to get a grip. Honestly. She'll be on heat mag next week talking about the trauma and how she lost 1.5lbs in the bb house but has since gained 2.5 back since being out. Also, this is a telly thread. C'mon peeps, we don't need start to start accusing anyone (especially not mrs jay) of being a nasty person.

limitedperiodonly · 22/01/2013 15:37

What was the body language woman's theory on the clapping?

My guess was that it wasn't malice. Heidi clapped without thinking because that's how she does most things. She only thinks about it if Spencer disapproves.

So, am I right?

I suppose it's wrong of me to hope Claire's letter was be a spoof from a social worker saying the children had been taken into care because their mummy had abandoned them.

If it makes it better I wanted Heidi and Spencer's one to be from some lapdancer he'd sperminated.

limitedperiodonly · 22/01/2013 15:39

was be a spoof?

Channels Benny from Crossroads.

Stila · 22/01/2013 16:01

Yes that's what body language woman said - Heidi was looking the other way and had detached herself from it . The others were all clapping themselves and she did it ( which ties in with the clip of her saying to Spencer that she wasn't clapping that Claire hadn't got the letter ) then Rylan shouted at her and Spencer clapped to back Heidi up / annoy Rylan .

Ha ha love the spoof letter .

sweetestB · 22/01/2013 16:06

Heidi either clapped because
1- she got carried away as everybody was clapping before
2- she wanted to cheer Clare up
3- she wanted to annoy Rylan and prove the point that him shaving his beard for a letter chalenge was pointless

Am I right? I didn't watch BOTS yet
Anyway. Heidi and Spencer were the only ones ho said it was wrong to Rylan take on such a chalenge since his beard meant so much to him and his apperance, and that Clare shouldn't be so selfish letting him do it for her. The others challenges were a joke compared to Rylan's.

sweetestB · 22/01/2013 16:08

x-post stila.

SucksToBeMe · 22/01/2013 16:12

Well said Baking.

limitedperiodonly · 22/01/2013 16:20

Rylan said you could still see the ghost of his beard from the tint he'd put on Grin. He did make me laugh when he was telling Claire From Steps to stop looking at his penis.

Has anyone noticed Frankie's arse btw? Rylan did when he was marching round the garden the other day. It's perfect. Mesmerising in fact.

Bakingnovice · 22/01/2013 16:39

Now let's have an episode where the kids are stood behind doors and the housemates have to cOmplete an impossible task to see them for 0.3 seconds. Cue more tears and trauma.

Jellykat · 22/01/2013 17:05

All i can say is TFFT! - Curious has seen the light, and no longer 'would' with Razor.. . phew

That body language woman knows her claps

soontobedivorced · 22/01/2013 18:14

I have a suspicion that the nastiness is deliberate. No-one can be that deliberately and consistently mean. Also I don't think Heidi is as innocent as people think she is on here. Seeing how easily she changed when she thought they were talking to a fan on the outside and she was "oooo we could be friends", "she's so sweet" - she also did this with other female housemates early on to ingratiate herself with them. I would not be surprised if the two of them are sociopathic. Charisma and being able to think on your feet are some of the characteristics of a sociopath (I know this from reading books and websites and from having known one) and Spencer certainly shines at this, he has a response to every argument and I think they are both very cold.

Still, the show would have been boring without them!!
