I am also weighing up if I would go out with the guy with tourettes as he is really good looking and the ticks just make me laugh a lot!!!

I really like seeing adults with learning disabilities on telly. My 7yo son has special needs and hate how invisible special needs are in general.

I'm a bit Hmm at the guy with Tourette's as the prog keeps saying how he wants a girl to help damp down his symptoms. She is a person not a medicine.

I watched some of the last series and I think the title is ironic. It shows that people who you might initially think are undateable because they are different in some way are interesting and unique and attractive in their own way. As we all are. I think it makes us look at what we want in a realtionship and promotes tolerance and understanding. Actually I have been out with people who are far more embarassing than the guy with tourettes!!

Well predictably I was in tears by the end. I am an emotional wreck since DC! A bit twee, them all getting on so well on all their dates, but really heartwarming. Three lovely people, I think sensitively portrayed.

I am watching it on plus one now. I am on the fence. I agree that why shouldn't we be able to watch a programme about people with learning disabilities the same as anyone else.

I think the title was unsympathetic, but the programme was IMO not a freak show, but rather a very sympatetic portrayal of the people in it, where you end up really rooting for them..

The man who was autistic was the hardest to watch, for me, as a good friend of mone has autistic son and I often wonder what the future holds for him, and it looks almost as if being an autistic adult is even harder than being an autistic child.

Also lots of sympathy for all the mums, but why were there no dads?

I watched the last series too where one of the dating agencies is actually run by people with learning difficulties supported by their carers.

I think it's a great programme and whilst it is a bit voyeuristic, it highlights that people with disabilities still want and need adult relationships.

The man with Austism was the saddest for me as he seemed the most vulnerable and in the most difficult position as he is obviously intellegent and well able to function but will struggle to find someone able to deal with his condition, I don't think that learning disabled people are necessarily the best match somehow - the girls he met were lovely but I think they had a greater emotional intellegence than he did and I think they would find him hard to deal with too.

A bit sad :(

I only managed a few minutes, the bits where Michael was speed dating. I couldnt watch any more after that.

I like the show, but its too painful for me.

I think the title puts people off tbh the programme is fine and it highlights that disabled adults either with physical disabilites or learning difficulties or asd etc, need love too and that they are not non people, they have feelings, I am a disabled person and although I did have boyfriends (not many) before I met my husband sometimes people see disabled people as non sexual or that they feel it is wrong for disabled people to have relationships,

I think it's nicely done.

Hard to watch as my son has Aspergers and I see SO much of him in Michael. Not in a bad way but it does highlight the worries I have for him in the future.

Brent seems lovely and so did his date. Sarah is just beautiful. I wonder if there'll be updates? I wish them all well.

I thought the best bit was when the guy with ASD went out with Helen and gave her a kiss on the cheek and she said he gave her butterflies! I cried a little bit when he was talking about keeping his company to dogs and he was always going to be alone! Poor guy! The others were nice too but I just felt so happy for the fella with ASD he looked so happy at the end!

I was talking to my sister about this yesterday she works with adults with learning difficulties and she loves it and thinks it promotes adults with difficulties as humans the same as everybody else, she isn't keen on the title either she said it does sound freak showish iyswim, but does enjoy watching it,

I find the title extremely offensive, and for that reason I won't watch it. Maybe it's ironic, but it's still offensive. I became disabled at 23 and had no more trouble getting dates then than before. Just reinforces the stereotype that disabled people are undesirable partners.

Are they showing them dating non-disabled partners, or just other disabled people?

The title is a little patronising. It is called The Undatables and then before the ads the Un is removed from the title making it The datables. Lovely people, hopefully we get a review of all the couples at end of series.
