I think the title was unsympathetic, but the programme was IMO not a freak show, but rather a very sympatetic portrayal of the people in it, where you end up really rooting for them..
The man who was autistic was the hardest to watch, for me, as a good friend of mone has autistic son and I often wonder what the future holds for him, and it looks almost as if being an autistic adult is even harder than being an autistic child.
Also lots of sympathy for all the mums, but why were there no dads?
