What a brilliant programme to show our children that they can't be good at everything.Smile

My ds really struggles with not being good at everything, gets really upset. I've recorded it and will show him that even Olympic athletes aren't good at all sports. Everyone has a talent in something.

I am watching too. it's really good isn't it? The canoeing is a bit wobbly. Grin

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2012 19:20

DH is going on about Hooperman and Brian Jacks. Confused

GreenyEyes · 29/12/2012 19:30

Sparkling I was just going to say, my DH has regressed into his 9yo self.

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2012 19:31

Grin Greeny He says I need to google all these people from the seventies. Hmm

notnagging · 29/12/2012 19:31

I'm glad the brownlee brothers are on & showing that brothers can be competitive but still get on. My ds's really struggle with that!

I loved that. I am old enough to remember Brian Jacks, Davina Galica, etc.

I loved this tonight, and I was really pleased that people like Laura Becholtsmeyer (sp?) did so well, showing that you don't have to be in the "glamour" sports to be a good all rounder.

Great show Xmas Grin

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2012 20:29

They should bring it back. DH is now watching World's Strongest Man which I hate. Sad

Furball · 29/12/2012 20:34

We enjoyed it too

I also said that it shows that even olympians aren't good at every sport.

and all the competitors had a huge smile.

Notquite · 29/12/2012 20:53

That was the most interesting men's 100m I've ever seen I think (possibly because it wasn't over as quickly as some!). No surprise that a man as strong as Joshua should win it, but who'd have thought the endurance runners would be so far off the pace?

Loved the hapless kayakers. Finally - elite athletes I can relate to.

BaconAndAvocado · 29/12/2012 21:00

What a fab show!

That said, anything linked to the Olympics must be watched!

Loved the documentary on earlier today, haven't cried so much since......Snowman and the Snowdog Xmas Smile

MyLittleAprilSunshine · 30/12/2012 00:24

Was amazing we all watched it here :)

pyrowall · 30/12/2012 11:40

Loved it!!
Saw Anthony Joshua in town yesterday!!
It's the second time I've see him and I was this close (holds fingers about and inch apart!) from talking to him this time!
I've promised myself I'll speak to him next time - I was a bit star struck!
