TinyGang · 13/04/2006 12:05

I had to laugh when he said he used to nip off into the woods to have a secret ogle at his....cookery magazines.

spacedonkey · 13/04/2006 12:07

zero radio/tv presence i'm afraid, but fabbo in books Smile he lives opposite dd1's school, so we see him scurrying out to buy cheese..

lilibet · 15/04/2006 14:55

Did anyone else think that he could be Alan Bennett's love child, if only Alan was of a (ahem) different persuasion

spacedonkey · 15/04/2006 21:44

Yes he could!

I don't agree that he has zero presence: I thought he was great with his cheeky little grin Grin

His literary/cook book voice and his tv persona didn't quite match up somehow. Still liked it though.

lilibet · 17/04/2006 11:01

His kitchen always surprises me, it's so science lab like - I think it should be mre 'homey'
