i loved DVOs tango. it was really good.

and Dani just seems to be coming along in leaps and bounds.

yet Kimberly just nailed it. it was beautiful and she was really dancing with her soul, and not her head - a pleasure to watch.

Louis - he has such personality in the interviews/backstage cuts and i wish wish wish he could bring that in performance. his default 'ramrod up jacksie' look he has to fight all the time.

i thought his jive was just slightly faulted, had a slight 'what am i doing?' look to it.

Lisas dance i didn't see as was helping DD2 decorate the tree. She is DD1s favourite though. i really hope they haven't made a mockery of her - she has the potential, it was just whether she could bring it physically in the course of the show that was the question.

I think Louis dances with less expression as he has to keep a blank face during his gymnastics. It's ingrained in him now

Right decision but still cried at Lisa and Robin. They seem to have such a strong bond. Could watch Robin dance all night - sigh.

OK, time for the maths. There are a few different permutations that would give us that dance off, but to my mind the only plausible one is that the public vote went:
Louis
Lisa
Dani
Kimberley
Denise

Realistically, Denise is screwed in the final, and she knows it. If the final goes on straight viewer votes (not totally confirmed I think) then Louis is nailed on for the win. It's possible that Dani only got more votes than Kimberley because K's fans thought she was safe, and that more people will vote Kimberley in a straight fight, but frankly I doubt it - K's dances were so crowd-pleasing, and D's not so, D danced first with K last, and the X factor wasn't on, releasing a more Kimberley-friendly demographic to watch and vote live. I reckon Dani will get more votes in the final.

I'm happy with a Louis win - I adore Flavia, and think she'll unleash a killer Argentine Tango and the showiest showdance ever.

Well, at least it's confirmed at a late stage. Devo has little public vote - Kimbers isn't any less talented than Devo re dancing but she rocked it.

Last night it bugged me when the judges said that DVOwas the one to beat and then Kimberley was getting 40s

Right decision dance wise but was pleased with Lisa's dance off , thought she did her best.

Louis's show dance should be spectacular- Flavia is sure to choreograph something special to show off his talents. Can't wait

I was a bit twitchy last night Pan when a troll posted a spoiler of a Kim vs DVO dance-off, which was not one of the two plausible scenarios I'd predicted upthread.I didn't really believe it, because it was mathematically possible but deeply implausible (required Lisa getting more votes than Louis and Denise getting more votes than Kimberley), but I still felt my credibility threatened.

Have just finally caught up from yesterday and tonight. It is sad to see Lisa go, and so sweet how she and Robin are together. But it really was time for her to go, especially in comparison to the others.

I'll be fine if Louis or Kimberly win. I like Vincent, not so much Dani for some unknown reason. And whether I want DVO to win or not, it's not going to happen. Looking forward to some fancy acrobatics from Louis next week.

Tess dress - my old aunt remarried last year and I swear it was the same dress she wore! And very creamy eyebrows mean too

Ok, Lisa left me crying. Wish robin had kept her improving. It did descend into 'fat girl dancing' moves by the end. She's lovely though. Nice to see darcy welling up. DVO must know how unpopular her and James are now. Good I'm glad. The public ain't thick. We can see through her steely eyes and gritted (bleached) teeth.

Really like claudias style. It's like, hey I'll wear my 5 year olds Party dress if I want to.

For me next week will be really busy, and away from home a lot. And when I am here it will be dd-based and home-based. So I won't post much, if at all. And I'll miss the final.

Can't quite believe it's the final next week, it's gone sooooo quickly.

Well, I think that was the right result but I've had my six year old in floods of tears over Lisa. I didn't like that dance of Denise's at all, reminded me of Helga from Allo Allo.

Ds made me help with homework so I had excuse to miss Lisa going - think I might have blubbed. Feel she missed a great opportunity to really show the world that a big girl can dance and have grace and sensuality and everything that the rest have.

A fair result tho'.
