I did and was pleasantly surprised. It had a very plausible and realistic storyline and I thought the characters were interesting and likeable. Andrew Scott is very watchable isn't he? He rocks a suit big time!

Yes.. enjoyed it. It was far better than I thought it would be. One thing I didn't understand was why the schoolgirl was left to wander the streets alone right after finding both her parents dead. Shouldn't someone (police) been out looking for her?

I missed the first 5 mins. The first I saw of her was when she helped out the boy who was hiding from the bullies. I didn't realise that she found them!

I enjoyed this too. That guy is Moriarty from Sherlock. I like him. Anyone else think the detective is a bit odd? A detective would take those texts and notes seriously, or at least, err do some detecting unless they had a personal interest in the case or have something to hide. Also, why was he watching him from outside the pub.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.

Anyone still watching?

Just watched the first 2eps on iplayer & really enjoyed it!

Am curious to know what it“s all about.

Don“t like any of the characters, though-except the grandmother!

I just watched the first two episodes too diddl I am also really enjoying it -it gets better and better.

The mayor has done an about turn though - at first he was too interested and seemed a bit Hmm about a double suicide - now he wants rid of the son, from the whole town, it seems.

I think it is really good.

So felt for the poor girl dressing up to go to what she perceived as a 'posh' party, in completely the wrong clothes. I think I did that at some point when younger, at a Young Farmers Ball or something. The Shame.

Yep - love the grandmother.

When the Mayor was interested I think he didn“t know about the involvement of the Douglas Hodge character & the mother?
