Set your video, stay in and watch, sort out your sky box, but do not miss this episode

I;ve had a quick peek on television without pity, I haven't read the full recap but this is how the recap starts

I want to start out by telling you that this recap will be wholly inadequate. There are long scenes in this episode with very few words and very little movement and almost no action that still, because of the genius of this cast, convey enormous amounts of information and pure emotion. I will do my best to describe these scenes, but it would be an insult to the art of Allison Janney, Richard Schiff, Martin Sheen, and Oliver Platt to think that any words could capture the tiniest part of what they do in this episode. If you saw the episode, I think you know what I mean. And if you didn't see it, I'm truly sorry that I can't capture for you the magic they created.

How bloody wonderful does that sound?

Thanks lilibet. I remember the character, but am rubbish at remembering actors' names.

(In whiny, child-in-back-of-car voice...) Is it nearly 9 o'clock yet?

MadameDeMars · 07/04/2006 20:52

Am off to watch this. Going to settle down in front of the telly. Have got it on sky+ incase I start to snooze as a result of the red wine. Grin

Wonderful episode, didn't you just want to hug him?

And when Oliver said at the end "someone should thank you for your service"

But, if you think back to the very first episode of this series with the flashback to the opeinign of the Jed Bartlett Memorial Library HE WAS THERE!!!

and that is three years in the future so if he has been in prison he can't have been there for that long and him and Jed must have made up

What do we think of Ellie's fiance? Not a lot from this corner, but I did really like Abbie's evening dress.

And now dopey Ned has ben 'relocated' is there an opening for Donna on the Santos tour bus?

1: yes I remember the flashback. Maybe he got a Presidential pardon.

2: very geeky... but did you hear Abbie... well shoot me now but I'm glad my daughter's straight

3: gorgeous dress.

4: yes bring back Donna and all that sexual tension lol

Sadly hardly any viewing of the gorgeous Jimmy.

lilibet · 08/04/2006 17:16

Was there ever any thought that she wasn't?

The West Wing doesn't have any gay charcters does it?

He got a quick look in on the plane, goign back a couple of episodes I thought the bed breaking story was very good Grin

I was assuming Will would bring Donna over from the VP's office with him now that he is Communications Director? Josh seemed pretty adamant Donna couldn't come back to him.

I wondered about that flashback episode - was it just good fortune that John Spencer wasn't in it, since that would create some problems having to remove his character (Leo) from the show as he sadly died at Christmas time. They couldn't really kill Leo off if he had been alive three years hence.

I think there may be more to this Toby story yet; CJ asked him if he knew about a secret shuttle, which I have a feeling she shouldn't really have done.

lilibet · 11/04/2006 14:23

Could be Tribot, she has to come back somehow, Josh and Donna belong together
