The Killing 3 - quick question

I was hopelessly addicted to Series 1 but have only just finished watching it on Netflix. Can I plunge straight into Series 3 tonight and will it matter that I haven't seen Series 2 yet??

Please please please bump! Am v pregnant and this is the only prospect I have of any excitement this weekend....

Series 1 was fab, 2 not so good so no harm jumping to 3 IMO
