This is a thread for any fans of the afternoon soap called 'Doctors'

It's coming up to the festive season:

  • Will Mrs T be permanently stationed under the mistletoe while Dr Cah-tah sweeps by, un-seduced by her fanciest wig and chrrrrrrrrrrrristmas cake?
  • Will Zara and Daniel be reunited and have a Christmas kiss?
  • Will Barry tie mistletoe to his security hat and go in search of true love?
  • Has Kevin been getting my fan mail and will abandon Doctors to go forth with me and have a perfect life?

Please join in if you want to. Acronyms to follow but you don't have to use them, we are just glad desperate you are here Grin

I've voted for you too Raahh.

we3kingsoforientRaahh · 07/12/2012 20:50

Thanks de-rails thread due to vote rigging scandal

BiscuitNibbler · 08/12/2012 10:28

Voted for you too, Raah. Hopefully you will win and you can add "Award Winning" to your business card.

we3kingsoforientRaahh · 08/12/2012 11:12

ooh, yes -award winning appellation facilitator, by Royal appointment.

Sadly, I am 4th, but by a long marginXmas Grin

but it's the taking part that counts etc....Xmas Grin

BiscuitNibbler · 08/12/2012 11:50

Have just read the spoilers and am Shock

Not at the occurrence of something a lot of us have been waiting for.

Not at the ups and downs of someone's romantic life.

What has truly shocked me is the appearance of a pub that isn't the Icon. How can this be true? Shock

What a way to leave us before the Christmas break. Shock

MsNobodyAgain · 08/12/2012 11:58

I was Shock at that too.

Now, anyone that hasn't voted for Raahh needs to get their arse in gear.

I recognise Hec but who the hell are the other two? They must post in Style and Beauty or some such nonsense. Never heard of 'em.

OP posts:
we3kingsoforientRaahh · 08/12/2012 12:15

@ style and beauty. I never venture there, even to lurk. I break every style rule in the book. Zara would probably post thereXmas Grin.

I may start a thread 'I am nearly 41, 4ft 8,naturally curlyfrizzy hair, glasses, 2 3 stone over weight. Can I wear a bandage dress to the school Christmas Fair? My budget is £5.Including shoes.'

we3kingsoforientRaahh · 08/12/2012 12:17

I am actually going to the fair this afternoon. I'd rather not. It's usually hell.

BiscuitNibbler · 08/12/2012 13:00

Xmas Grin Raah

MsNobodyAgain · 08/12/2012 13:55

Raahh wtf is a bandage dress?

You lie! You know more about style and beauty than me.

Style is the aisle furthest to the left in Sainsburys. Beauty is best viewed through beer goggles. After a few pints, I'm smokin'

BiscuitNibbler · 08/12/2012 14:08

Watching yesterday's. I'd like to say I've seen it all now, but knowing Doctors that is never going to happen. A whale in a box? FFS. That is WTFness on a whole new level.

MsNobodyAgain · 08/12/2012 14:30

That 30 minutes was a thief of time. It should have been advertised with a balaclava and a swag bag.

Can I just do my usual and put my personal life on here? Oh yes, good.... SHEILA'S WHEELS ARE SHIT and have withdrawn my car insurance with immediate effect. Bastards. Kick me while I'm down why don't you? Angry.

OP posts:
WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 08/12/2012 16:23

Oh MsN - Sheila's Wheels Car insurance are SHIT did you say? Why have they done that?

MsNobodyAgain · 08/12/2012 17:19

I'm probably being unfair tbh. I've calmed down now. It's a long story to do with having a Motability car in the past and having to prove No Claims Discount.

I've got sorted with another insurer and should be receiving a free Meerkat through the post Xmas Grin

OP posts:
we3kingsoforientRaahh · 08/12/2012 17:27

I was very excited to receive my Meerkat. You get updates of it's progress via e-mail. It's takes bloodyages to get from Meerkovo Slough and despite arriving ina plainbrown box, the postie knew what it was!Xmas Grin

Sorry you're having such a shit time, MsN

MsNobodyAgain · 08/12/2012 17:37

Thanks Raahh. Thanks

My DD has been snooping over my shoulder at my internet useage and has already bagged the Meerkat. I can see myself having to scour fleabay to appease the DSs. Xmas Grin

(OMG, just seen the prices of Meerkats on Fleabay. Nope, the DSs won't be getting one).

we3kingsoforientRaahh · 08/12/2012 17:40

We got 'Sergei'-sadly,he was out of the box and tucked up with dd1's hedgehog collection(not real ones)before I realised the re-sale value. Maybe the next one...Xmas Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 08/12/2012 17:46

Oh, he's going for upwards of £20 on e-bay, but like you say only if boxed. Someone is selling a full set of Meerkat toys for £170 Xmas Shock

I bet I get that runty one, Bogdan. It won't matter to DD. She'll cuddle anything.

OP posts:
we3kingsoforientRaahh · 08/12/2012 18:20

@ runty one

At the christmas fair, there was a soft toy of Ned from the Koala brothers(cbeebies) on the tombola. Whoever donated that clearly doesn't know
KB merchandise was very limited and like hens teeth. I didn't win himSad

MsNobodyAgain · 08/12/2012 18:33

I love a tombola. Just the word makes me smile.

And the 6 sided wooden box cranked by a handle before you could pick a ticket out. Ah, the memories.

Nowadays you just stick your hand into a plastic bowl. It ain't the same. Xmas Sad

OP posts:
OodKingWenceslas · 08/12/2012 23:37

Dd2s school still has one of those!

Dd2does all her Xmas shopping on tombolas. Interesting presents and you can usually tell if you were last one thought of :(

BiscuitNibbler · 09/12/2012 09:31

Ood - your daughter is a genius! I would love to get all my Christmas shopping by tombola! I think I may try that next year!

OodKingWenceslas · 09/12/2012 09:52

Her step mum was bottom of the list this year. She appears to be getting a jar opener. I have warnedxh so he can steer her towards an extra present. I got in quick when she won a chocolate orange and staked my claim

BiscuitNibbler · 09/12/2012 10:04

I'm trying to work out if Christmas shopping by tombola is a step up or a step down from shopping at the pound shop? I think I prefer the random excitement of the tombola. It would be perfect for a secret santa present.

BiscuitNibbler · 09/12/2012 10:04

Oh and you should have kept schtum about the jar opener. I would have loved to have seen the SM's reaction!
