I have no idea what the point of the Jimmi story was. He seems to spend a lot more time 'out of the office' than he used to.

Just finished watching. I thought the Jimmi storyline was quite moving if a bit unlikely.

As for the adoption, daylight when the plods went out for a meal (presumably it was a weekday?), daylight at the point when "your wife is in the garden", night time a few minutes later, unbelievable that Gobbyplod and CWPP would have gone on the chase and potentially broken their cover.

As for the quiz, what was the point of that?

Today's patient count was 1 (but already dead).

It's almost like the actor that plays Jimmi was away and just filmed his scenes nearby and sent the film in. That storyline could have been inserted into any old episode randomly.

Aha! I was looking at other thread and wondering why nobody had watched todays

Perhaps Jimmis scenes were some sort of back up scene they filmed in case of emergency crap script writers or summat. A bit like I keep a home made lasagne and a curry in my freezer for when I can't be arsed cooking.

Sorry about all the poorly DCs, hope they are all better soon. Mine are at school, oblivious to the fact that lots of other schools are closed today. I'm going to vote but only to try and keep out a candidate I detest.

Re the undercover thing, was that actually CWPP's real house? Surely not. The most amateur bunch of police officers ever seen on TV.

The theory of keeping storylines in cold storage ready for CBA days may go some way towards explaining the bizarreness and lack of continuity of much of it. Maybe they do all the location stuff separately and then add it in randomly (would explain the weird day to night stuff).
