• Has Kevin been getting my fan mail and will abandon Doctors to go forth with me and have a perfect life?

In my haste to get off the phone, I've agreed to a meeting with a social worker the day after a big family party that is taking place at my house. Probably not a good idea.

My boys will be 8 , so we have a kiddies party and then my family stay for drinks after. I'm from a large family so the house will be full of fun. Can't wait.

Just checking in, watched it a bit late. That was quite entertaining. Maybe Kevin is adopted, I've got a friend who is Asian in appearance but was adopted by a white family and has a Kevin Tyler type name and no interest in his birth heritage. He's a GP too .

I know, I was shocked, especially as I had the subtitles on.

Ok, I've started the mammoth catch-up. I'm on episode 2 of 13.

I will be rocking back-and-forth, staring into space, and muttering "Doc-tah Cah-tah" by the end.

Also, the guy who plays Kevin is called Simon in real life. I don't think a "western" name is that unusual in British-Asian families.

Biscuit- I think it is just the choice of 'Kevin' that has always seemed a bit odd. He seems too young to be a Kevin(there were loads when I was a kid).

And the Doctor he replaced was called Simon...spooky!

I don't know any Kevins under the age of about 40. I am starting to realise that although I have been watching daily now for about 6 weeks I still don't know half the character's names, only their MN nicknames.

That is spooky, Raah. Yes, Kevins should be in their 40s, but so should Simons. I know tonnes of them, too.

Just started episode 4 of 13. There is a man in bed with a plastic girlfriend. WTF-ness abounds.
