I'll be watching tomorrow. Glad to hear that it's lovely!

Have you read the book?

CeilidhHayley · 10/11/2012 15:52

Sandy Denny is my all time fave. Just sublime.

I thought the 'songs of...' gig had some highlights, such as Sam Carter's far superior version of 'It Suits Me Well' which owed quite a surprising debt to the Arctic Monkeys, i felt.

Maddy Prior seemed insincere. And that Green bloke with the high pitched voice was a weird choice.

They also missed out shedloads of her best songs; Autopsy; The Optimist; The Sea Captain... To name just a few off the top of my head.

And they included some real clunkers & she didnt actually write that many crap songs, so it was quite an achievement in my opinion!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 10/11/2012 16:57

What have I missed?

Dededum · 10/11/2012 16:59

Who knows where the time goes? Eh..

"And that Green bloke with the high pitched voice was a weird choice."

Oooh - was that Green from Scritti Politti? Yes, I can see that may have been an odd choice.
Must check it out Grin

One of the most stunning voices of all time. Who Knows Where The Times Goes brings tears to my eyes.
