It is my newest guilty pleasure.

Me! Grin looks like we are the only ones though.

Frontpaw · 04/11/2012 20:01

The one with the trout? And the useless spies who didnt think to look for her in her childhood home when she went AWOL?

Hooked!

Orangesarenottheonlyfruit · 04/11/2012 20:02

loving it too!

neski36 · 04/11/2012 20:08

I'm liking that Melissa George has all the big fighting scenes. She's very tough! Good actress did anyone see her in that Australian drama recently can't remember name think it was on BBC 4.

It is terribly addictive. And addictively terrible. Possibly the best thing is reading the Guardian blog about it after, because it does make me laugh a lot.

It just started being shown in the US, and they seem to think it's actually good, and serious, which I'm sure is what the makers were going for, but it just isn't quite right.

SufferingLampreys · 05/11/2012 11:34

I am watching
I'm still not sure about it but it must have something as I can't not watch
Adam rayner has amazing eyes

gingercat12 · 05/11/2012 13:41

Have to read the Guardian blog.

Just spent an entire hour of a very worthy presentation fantasising about Adam Rayner. I am so ashamed!

easyfromnowon I was stupid enough to start reading the guardian blog during a speech, I nearly laughed out loud.

Have you a link to the blog please?

gingercat12 · 05/11/2012 19:24

sufferinglampreys am not savvy enough to do links from phone. will add link from computer.

in the past i thought Spooks was the most unintentionally hilarious tv programme ever, but it is really Hunted no doubt about that.

OP posts:
TeaandHobnobs · 05/11/2012 19:29

DH is obsessed with it. I am sort of enjoying it, but it is a bit too full of holes for me.

Also I thought they got away with a lot of stuff in Spooks because it was in the interests of National Security, but in this, it's just because some bloke is paying them loads of money? Confused

gingercat12 · 06/11/2012 09:08

The Guardian series blog

Thanks

EasyFromNowOn · 06/11/2012 11:53

Ginger - yes, you have to read it when you are alone, and not drinking a cup of coffee, otherwise you spend the next half an hour drying out the keyboard Grin

TeaandHobnobs - yes, they are private contractors. Although who is paying the bills has not yet been discovered.

I loved Spooks, until the final series when it went completely nuts. I put HUnted on about the same level as Strike Back, which I also love but cannot take seriously at all. Although Strike Back has other things going for it!

gingercat12 · 06/11/2012 12:31

EasyFromNowOn So I am not alone watching Strike Back Grin My pitiful excuse for watching it that half of Season 2 was show in my hometown. And I watched Season 1 beacuse of Richard Armitage...

I cannot wait for Thursday's Hunted after reading the blog and all the conspiracy theories. I am just going to laugh my head off.

OP posts:
gingercat12 · 06/11/2012 12:31

I mean shot in my howmtown.

OP posts:
gingercat12 · 06/11/2012 12:41

I give up on spelling.

Did anybody else find the accents confusing in Hunted? It took me 5 episodes to be sure it was set in London, as everyone's accents are all over the place. I am not native English and do not care about it as a general rule, but even I thought it was a bit much.

OP posts:
LadyMargolotta · 06/11/2012 12:49

The only accent that is all over the place is Mellisa George's! Her british accent is fairly bad. I cannot judge her American accent but that is probably fairly bad as well.

'It is terribly addictive. And addictively terrible.'

Sums it up very well!

boyhasadream · 06/11/2012 12:55

Adam Rayner crossed at zebra crossing in front of us outside BBC in Shepherds Bush a few days ago. He's cute but it's Rupert Penry Jones all the way for me Grin. Hunted is helping a bit with me mourning the loss of Spooks.

Rachel07 · 06/11/2012 12:56

Gingercat, that blog is very, very funny. Thank's for the link.

Loving Hunted, like Melissa George too although her accent is a bit off the wall.

Bring on thursday for episode 6!

JoandMax · 06/11/2012 12:57

We are obsessed with it here too! Most of the hour is spent profusely swearing at the TV about how ridiculous it is yet still we keep on going back.....,

gingercat12 · 06/11/2012 13:19

LadyMargolotta Because I had no idea where it is set (Sam's flat is a bit like New York and the plot did not always make much sense), I could not understand why some people are British, others American and then there is Sam. I cannot always hear what Aidan is saying, as I am too busy looking into his eyes.

boyhasadream can I stand in front of that zebra crossing a little bit, please Blush?

JoandMax I think we should just laugh at the inconsistencies.

TheSmallPrint · 06/11/2012 16:47

I am also watching this and waiting to understand it. I am also a massive Spooks fan until they killed off Lucas and aired the ridiculous mess that was Series 10 also watched Series 1 of Strikeback purely for Richard Armitage (do you sense a theme here?) and actually enjoyed that, couldn't watch the second series after they shot him .

Anyway back to Hunted, loved the Guardian blog and will now watch the next episode knowing I can look forward to it's disection on that blog.

MsInterpret · 06/11/2012 16:53

Ooh thanks for the blog link.

Started watching on iPlayer on phone in middle of night while BFing and now hooked! Episode 5 lined up for tonight!

MG's British accent is appalling isn't it?! Also think Scottish one v wooden.

Which one is Rupert Penry Jones? Is it Fowkes?
