Australian Masterchef... weird comments by judges

I absolutely love this show but sometimes I am a bit irritated by the very obvious comments made by the judges. e.g. in a mystery box challenge where it has been revealed that the ingredient is e.g. fish.. Gary may then say to George fifteen minutes in something naff like ' George, how exciting.. it is fish, it is fresh, we are expecting some cracking dishes. They are fifteen minutes in now, this will test their techniques etc'.

Please tell me I am not the only one who has noticed the very obvious and random stuff they tend to say..

It's just soundbites isn't it? They do constant recaps because of the constant ad breaks :o

I am the show's biggest fan, but the most amusing thing for me is the contestants' voiceovers - they really talk like they are narrating actual events whilst they are also in the kitchen. Imagine the note taking they must have to do, and then the editing!

My fav ever Aussie masterchef quote was from Hayden in the last series who said "I really love food, its one of my favorite things to eat"

As opposed to all the non food stuff he eats. Genius.

Really Zeldapinwheel?? lmao at that one.. it takes the award for the most random thing ever said!!

It is absolutely possible to change the channel, if you are not keen on what you are watching.

I truly love Aussie masterchef. Especially George.

Anyone but Mindy to win. I find her really smug and annoying. And she cooks the same thing again and again.

She does doesn't she! I have a nasty feeling Ben will win. I love Kylie.

Sometimes they use the ridiculous sound bites in adverts during the programmes in Australia. Like cravat Matt he does Bounty so be will bang on about the absorbency of Bounty and then it will be in the ad break two minutes later.

Also not keen on Audra. I think Andy will win, or Julia. I love Alice and Wade.

I think Alice is fab but slightly eccentric. I love Kylie as well but think either Ben or Audra will win. Deb is very annoying!

...And cravat Matt better go easy on the calories. He is straining at the seams!!

I like Kylie, Audra and Ben. Also quite like Andy. Think Mindy is a good cook but too smug. Julia also a bit smug and a bit too much just dessert-centred. Debra is annoying, not a team player at all. Alice far too annoyingly bouncy for me. Beau is ok, Wade has impressed lately and seems a nice chap. I was a bit disappointed Amina was eliminated this early.

Cravat Matt has weird eyes too.....

Oh bloody hell! Not Mindy again. She's realy getting on my nerves - and Gary seems to love her.

Mindy has grown on me, and I love Audra and Ben.

Top tip is don't google anything to do with the show, as I did that last series (not looking for the winner ) and the name was RIGHT THERE. So this year I have no idea! I like Ben or Kylie.

Ooh, we are still watching , but are behind, are in the Italy week still. Got to the bit where Alice has won immunity pin, and the next bit where the red team win. Don't know after that.

Our favourite contestants are Audra, Ben, Mindy and Kylie. Also quite like Wade and Andy. Not so keen on Alice, Beau, Julia and Debra...

ooooh it is over.. what am I going to do with my weekdays now???

Don't worry, I'm sure it won't be long before Masterchef New Zealand starts if my last lot of maternity leave is anything to go by

Australian Masterchef All Stars starts tonight too.

What did you think of the Final? I thought the right person won in the end.

Have been avoiding threads abut this as we were miles behind because DH was travelling a lot and we weren't allowed to watch it unless he was there too.

DS googled it before the series started so we knew who would win which was a shame. Def won't be doing that next year!

And.... my exciting news..... just discovered that my cousin who has recently moved to Melbourne started work today for George in his restaurant!!!! Front of house stuff. Will be fascinated to see how he gets on. Might have to bring our planned for 2 years time Masterchef tour of Oz!

Cider what a fab opportunity. I have a soft spot for Adriano .... All Stars was fun because the pressure to win is different.
