What's it all about? and is it coming to cbeebies? I've never seen more than 2 minutes of it, but DS1(3.5) is obsessed. Infact he is now calling himself Sportacus.

Prepare yourself for lots of running aorund the house and then kicking out! Ds also is Sportacus. Him and the other boy at cm argue about who is Sportacus!

Kids find it addictive. I find it nauseous!

DD also loves this, I can't bear to watch, that man can't actually walk anywhere, he gets from A to B in a series of back flips, spins etc grrrr.

I hate and detest this. I banned Nick Junior partly because it was full of crap like Lazy Town, and I'm really miffed to find that it's going to be on CBeebies as well!

after much searching and bribing, we are officially having a lazy town party with lazy town cake and everything for dd's 3rd birthday.
she has renamed all her dora dolls stephanie and constantly asks..'..dya think stephanie will like this??!!

Oh yes my ds is obsessed with this too! Is he really called Sportocus? Ds was saying this the other day, and I was saying, no he's called SpArtocus and he was geting very cross.

Afraid I've got another addict here. ds2 (3) LOVES it. I have to say I don't think it is complete cack - there's far worse - even on cbeebies and if ds comes away from it with the message that good food and exercise is good for you then can't see the problem. It is a bit wierd though and Robbie Rotten's spandex really doesn't leave a lot to the imagination! I'm with Dior and macwoozy on the Sportacus front as well - mmmmmmmmm think its the combination of v v v toned everything and his accent.

I am in love with Sportacus he is so lovely. Although if you google the actual bloke he is no so nice in real life, which is a bit alarming.

we bought dd lazytown cd from ebay and its fab! very catchy and almost musical/annie likeSmile
for fans of show, go to www.lazytown.com, then about, then FAQ..scroll right down to bottom of page and it provides an otherwise unavailavle like to nickjr radio..you then click onlazy twon=sportacus' face and it plays all the songs through your puter..assuming you have volSmile..warning..you WILL be singing them with the kids soonSmile

It's SUCH a weird programme ... I was wondering how old Stephanie was in real life and apparently she is 14. Dh and I were arguing about it. :)

My DS1 is obsessed too aged 2.9 He thinks he is Sportacus & worryingly says DS2 aged 1.2 is Stephanie!!!

I think Cbeebies will start with the story at the beginning.

Basically Lazy town is full of puppets - Stephanie - a real girl but all in pink - hair etc arrives & it is really lazy (naturally). She learns about Sportacus who lives in an airship & calls him down to make lazy town less lazy - He promotes Sports Candy - Apples etc and being active. There is Robbie Rotten (another real person in lycra - ouch!) who tries to make every one lazy - but Sportacus & Stephanie always win.

really Cheesy but the kids love it. I see from the credits that the Sportacus guy does everything, writes, directs & produces etc - and makes a lot of money now I imagine

yes - robbie rotten is the one in the bin - who always disguises himself to cause trouble -by trying to make every one lazy.

I wouldn't take it personally Grin - it probably means you are being a proper parent dishing out appropriate discipline!!!

Yep, I have a thing for Sportacus too Blush. But I think I might just be temporarily insane due to overload of pregnancy hormones.

3 yr old DD luvs Lazy Town. If you go on Nick Jr website there are games and extras which she loves.

She also started getting her teeth brushed without screaming the place down because Stephanie & co do it too.
I agree that it is a bit irritating and a lot of the stuff on Nick Jr is a bit iffy - especially the bloody adverts.
A lot of the stuff on Cbeebies isn't any better.
(Although the Welsh guy on Doodle-Do is a cutie)
