does anyone else find it really odd that dalziel is always with the ladies and pascoe isn't??

Would just like to point out that in the books Pascoe is still a married man & much more interesting, and Dalziel doesn't get nearly as much rumpy-pumpy. They probably changed it because Pascoe's tv wife went off to ITV.

what was the name of the lovechild daughter, i thought it might have been Betty but the accent could have fooled me, and did she evershow up in the programme?
As single mum, I am obsessed as to what these tv characters do with their offspring whilst they are rutting randomn policemen.
