And so it continues.......

Pan's an MNer, been around for years. Loves Aliona, and SCD (in that order). Think he was on this thread as PanOnOLympus, which is either a hangover from the Olympics or he's having one of his god-like turns Wink

noddyholder · 03/11/2012 15:33

I think tonights is going to be a great show. It is at the stage now where the real contenders can actually dance.

ppeatfruit · 03/11/2012 15:39

Oh thanks fiderer I was thinking who ? Where was he on this thread? unless he's changed his name of course Grin

Fiderer · 03/11/2012 15:41

And no more gimmicky theme nights.

I think MNHQ should pool all our ideas on how to improve SCD (fewer gimmicks, 2 dances a week, no crappy cringey VTs, drown Tess) and offer MNers to test run it.

Sparklingbrook · 03/11/2012 15:44

They aren't all going to be dressed up as fireworks tonight are they? Sad

OP posts:
Fiderer · 03/11/2012 15:46

They couldn't do 3 in a row, surely? Still don't understand why they did the Hollywood theme a week before Halloween.

AndiMac · 03/11/2012 15:48

I like theme weeks, but not one after another. It would be better if they separated them by a few usual weeks.

Sparklingbrook · 03/11/2012 15:49

I just want to see some great outfits and fab dancing tonight.

OP posts:
AndiMac · 03/11/2012 15:53

Not sure I'll be able to watch it live, or even semi-live (to avoid Brucie) as my FIL is here and although DH tolerates Strictly, I don't think he will. But who knows, he still has jet lag, so might fall asleep nice and early.

Sparklingbrook · 03/11/2012 15:54

I will be watching and comforting Sparkling cat from the nasty fireworks at the same time. Sad

ppeatfruit · 03/11/2012 15:56

sparkling Oooh a missed opportunity for more OTTness Grin methinks yes they should all be dancing abaht with bangers up their bums Grin

Fiderer Agree about the theme nights maybe one in the series? it gives room for imagination and for the competitors to 'forget' their nerves. Don't drown Tess, she' s not amazing but she's alright I'd cut the interviews upstairs though give them all a bottle of water and sit them down in the green room. Drown Brucie; him and his jokes are past their sell by date IMO

Mrsjay · 03/11/2012 15:59

is there a theme tonight ? i always record A I can skip through the boring ones 'Cough' Kian 'cough' and sometimes brucies wisecracks make me cringe, Dary ya Bussel was on graham norton last night 1 of her friends said watch your self you have to watch and that is why she stopped all her yaing she was a bit Blush about it,

noddyholder · 03/11/2012 15:59

I agree no themes 2 dances drop the vts.

Sparklingbrook · 03/11/2012 16:01

No more murdering of Duran Duran songs either. I still haven't recovered from them ruining Simon Le Bon's birthday. Sad

So some nice music, lovely outfits, good dancing. A bit less Tess and a lot less Bruce.

What can possibly go wrong?

OP posts:
ScatterChasse · 03/11/2012 16:02

I'm not in tonight (friend's birthday, although having said that she's a Strictly fan, so we may just end up on the Wine in front her telly) so might have to catch up later.

Ola's Polish and Aliona is Russian-Kazakhstani according to Wikipedia ppeatfruit.

cocolepew · 03/11/2012 16:04

Loking forward to tonight, Craig had said on ITT that this week they won't have any gimmicks to hide behind so they have to up their game.

Sparkling, we don't bother with bonfire night, over here, but had loads of fireworks at halloween. I was sat up until midnight nursing the dog on my knee Hmm

Mrsjay · 03/11/2012 16:04

I can remember going to my friends birthday a few years ago houseful of people she went oh I will be right back and off she vanished to watch the xfactor final so maybe you will get to watch it after all scatter

Mrsjay · 03/11/2012 16:05

AndiMac · 03/11/2012 16:07

It's Kim from Girls Aloud on a flying hula hoop. ;)

Mrsjay · 03/11/2012 16:08

It's Kim from Girls Aloud on a flying hula hoop.

ScatterChasse · 03/11/2012 16:08

ppeatfruit · 03/11/2012 16:09

Cheers scatter enjoy your evening Grin They're from a similar part of the world then. My GPs from around there that's why I like them I spose Grin

Mrsjay · 03/11/2012 16:12

They've been dying to use that ever since Over the Rainbow finished I bet

that made me Grin I always had visions of the rejected dorothys landing in a skip after they went over the rainbow shoeless and stinking Grin

ScatterChasse · 03/11/2012 16:14

Well, there are a few more you can like too then from around there Grin Quite a few seem to be from that neck of the woods (with a small antipodean contingent!).

No idea why though Confused I think quite a few have come via America.

ppeatfruit · 03/11/2012 16:15

She's quite sweet Kimberley and no side to her even when flying in a hula hoop!! scatter

Oh in Over the Rainbow that was a little OVER (gettit?) used and OTT Grin
