Best spooks episode?

I want my dh to watch spooks. I know he would enjoy it, we both love Bourne and he enjoyed hunted. I have to convince him though (he thinks spooks was one of my program's so by definition must be crap) and I've made him promise he will try one episode
So which episode should I show him to get him hooked?

Could you do both episodes 1 and 2 of the first series? Then he'll realise that Spooks was never afraid to kill off 'good guys' in horrible ways!

Spooks is amazing until the last series which was shite.

You could start at the beginning but I enjoyed series 7,8 and 9 best. You're DH can enjoy Ros while you get your fill of Adam and Lucas.

Any episode with Lucas in. Even better if he's topless.

Series 2, the crisis training episode where they all get locked in the grid. Genius telly.

The one where the girl gets boiled in oil

i think series 1 and 2 are the best. I loved spooks with either Tom or Adam as the main character. The series with Lucas as the lead were very poor.

The acting in series 1 was a bit duff, though. And Harry swears, which he just wouldn't do. It got sooo much better in series 2.

Anything with Adam and Ros. He was good. She was awesome.

I watched the test one again recently and was amazing but I think there needs to be more flighty stuff. Dh does like whatever face that gets boiled so one or two would cover that.
I love Adam and Ros but don't think the writing was so strong.
Was pondering the episode where Tom is dead and trying to clear his name as a good mixture of all the spy type stuff.

didn't like Ros till she cam back from the dead and was all kick arse. Particularly the scene where the bloke next to her in the car got shot, she looked down at her jacket splattered with blood and just muttered "oh FFS".

Ros was funny. I had a soft spot for Zaf too. [swoon].
