I keep missing episodes (I blame MN) so I assume she is not really pregnant, just wants charlie's money for a private abortion, but how did she get a positive pregnancy test???

I don't think he saw the actual test, just the box.

Might be wrong though, as wasn't paying close attention - I'm sure someone else will be along soon.

he did see the test but she'd basically just taken it out of the box and left it sticking out of the waste paper basket for him to see - he didn't actually look at it. And obviously he's too thick to have doubted her word that she's pregnant. Reason why she's done it is so that she can have Amy living back with her apparently.

The shoes are just a happy bonus, she spent the money he gave her for a termination on them. Shes going to make him feel really guilty for forcing her into a termination and get Amy back living with them as a result. Why an intellegent woman would want to be with him at all is beyond me

Well if Corrie was character-led instead of risible plot-led, it wouldn't work, because Charlie wouldn't feel guilty, he'd just think he'd got more power over her.

charlie didnt seem v guilty to me, jsut went downt he pub. He'll prob give in to her to shut her up.
