KentuckyFriedChildren · 12/09/2012 21:54

Ooh a new series? I don't have tv anymore just netflix etc. Do you think it will be on 4od?

Inneedofbrandy · 12/09/2012 22:01

And me, can't remember wqhat happened with Jamie and that blonde bird last series? Did he and Karen split?

KFC Can you watch live TV on 4od?

OP posts:
Geekster · 12/09/2012 22:02

Yes fairly sure it will be on 4od as the last series is on there.

Geekster · 12/09/2012 22:04

No I cant remember what happend either! Don't think Jamie and Karen split it was when they had all been trapped under ground I think.

Inneedofbrandy · 12/09/2012 22:05

I'm recording it to watch.

I love Jamie! I think he's gorgeous!

KentuckyFriedChildren · 12/09/2012 22:09

No but if its on tonight it would be on 4od by tomorrow. I watch hollyoaks and dispatches etc on 4od the next day. I specifically don't watch live tv and so don't have to pay tv license :) I watch through Xbox so still on the tv but its free :)

Inneedofbrandy · 12/09/2012 22:14

Jamies utterly gorgeousI 100 % agree

KFC I've been thinking of doing that, but I love 1xtra radio and shameless. Oh and come dine with me and the news. Maybe I am a telly addict really....

Yeah but you can watch come dine with me on 4od as well and read news online. Not sure about radio tbh I know there is a radio function on BBC iPlayer but I havent used it and also do you need a license for radio? I thought you could listen on a dab radio for free anyway otherwise you'd need a license for some cars etc. It's great having netflix and all that too as you're never stuck with a boring telly night and I can watch whenever suits. Plus you can get whole seasons of shows in a oner and there is always films for the dcs so I never have to watch crap kids telly again :o can you tell I love it

Inneedofbrandy · 12/09/2012 22:30

Loving Jamie in that officer uniform Grin

KentuckyFriedChildren · 12/09/2012 22:42

It's simple enough you pay I think its 6 quid a month and 5 for lovefilm instant. I don't have love film but am thinking about it as I think they have more new DVD releases. Netflix is good for tv shows particularly ones that are not shown now and there is a wide choice that gets added to regularly. The kids have a choice of tv shows and films and I love the fact that there are quite a few kids shows from the 80s and 90s that I used to watch myself as I think kids tv nowadays is shite. There's programs for all ages eg Dora and icarly and Spiderman. And they can choose what they watch and so don't get as bored iyswim

KentuckyFriedChildren · 12/09/2012 22:44

Oh you need to be able to connect your ps3 to your broadband too btw

KentuckyFriedChildren · 12/09/2012 22:45

And you get a month free trial so you could try it and if it doesn't suit cancel as there is no tie in contract

Inneedofbrandy · 12/09/2012 22:48

Need more Jamie views!

I've been looking on Netflix website, think im going to have my free month and see how We get on. Especially with Xmas coming up don't want all the citv adverts in their heads! Will look into the radio bit, thanks for that I thought it would of been aload of shit with the odd good program on.

Inneedofbrandy · 12/09/2012 22:52

Oh the second episode is on tomorrow yeeeeyyyyy

KentuckyFriedChildren · 12/09/2012 22:59

No problem. You can get 4od, iPlayer and demand 5 (not sure about ITV player or whatever its called where you are but you can def get that online on phone/laptop etc) through the ps3 as well as far as I know. You still get certain ads on 4od and the like but they aren't toy ones that I've seen. I find I have a lot more time for housework now that I don't have a tv schedule to work around. That sounds odd but I'm finding that since I cam watch things when I like I can put off watching my fave shows til I have achieved something as I would sometimes think oh that's starting in half an hour I better not start such and such I'll do it later. Now I don't have an excuse and the house is weirdly cleaner :o

Inneedofbrandy · 12/09/2012 23:08

It's mums net not telly that stops my house being as clean as it could.

Getting excited about all te christmas films that could be on!

OP posts:
KentuckyFriedChildren · 12/09/2012 23:34

Ah see I don't have a laptop only a phone so mumsnet is portable :o it is rather distracting though. Still makes good reading while I'm doing stuff. I'm quite good at one handed hoovering, dusting, cooking etc after a few years of small children :)

OodHousekeeping · 14/09/2012 11:32

Marking my place to remind me to watch on 4OD
