I played the violin when I was younger. Got my Grade 5. I can't believe it now, I can't read music any more or play the violin at all.

OhYou - it is an absolutely brilliant day - I have been there @ 3 times in 5 years and it's an amazing day/evening - unashamedly patriotic and altogether great fun!

Am presuming you are speaking to me OhYou. God no - tis a fab day out for all, take a picnic and booze and you're sorted! They have different acts every year (last year was Westlife, year before Neil Sedaka).

Good to see one of my oldest friends in his usual spot, front row of the prommers by the conductor.

I'm sure the timpani guy has the most fun of all.

Oh, and they put all the words on screens for you to sing along!
