We always call it Downtown Abbey!

surroundedbyblondes · 08/09/2012 20:51

What time slot will it be on? I have to drive some family members to the airport and am just hoping I'll be able to be back in time!

tribpot · 08/09/2012 20:57

I am considerably more excited about the return of the MN Downton threads than I am the programme itself :) Even though I am really looking forward to seeing Shirley Maclaine kicking arse as drippy Cora's mamma.

MissMogwi · 08/09/2012 21:20

Next Sunday??

Hurrah. My life is complete.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 08/09/2012 21:22

I cannot wait! So excited.

Hope something good happens to Edith.

I´m wondering if they´ll seem extremely stuffy & stuck in the past.

I think Violet is in danger of becoming unlikeable.

When she calls the Shirley Mc character a dreadful woman.

Can´t help thinking you bitch snob.

Happy enough to take the money that your husband spent to keep the place going, but think that having to see her is beneath you.

Would she not have had more manners than that?

MrsTrellisOfSouthWales · 09/09/2012 08:41

And the Christmas special and the last series are on ITV3 this week.

BackforGood · 09/09/2012 13:03

Ooh! Thatnks for that tip off MrsTrellis - can use them as a warm up [grin
What days please (I haven't got a paper this weekend and am without TV guide Blush)

MrsTrellisOfSouthWales · 09/09/2012 19:34

Everyday, about tea time. HTH.

BackforGood · 10/09/2012 10:20

Oh thanks - I'd never have spotted that! Smile

LadyHarrietdeSpook · 10/09/2012 12:42

Hey! Welcome back ladies! I've been watching this space for the return of the downtonians. Hope everyone is well!

Interview in the Sunday Times with Dan Stevens this w/e. Suggests he won't be signing up for Season 4...wondering what that means for the plot this time...says that he found the plot twists challenging (their italics, not mine) and wondering if that means this season too, not just last year...with the mystery heir, paralysis then recovery etc etc

Whatever happens I hope they end on a high. Last year's threads were a blast with the plot speculation/MN 'rewrites' but it would be good if the show didn't look so amateur in parts...

Animation · 10/09/2012 19:10

"Hope something good happens to Edith"

It must be Edith's time ..surely.

wishfulthinking1 · 11/09/2012 18:10

Brilliant- turns out my mastermind tv recorder was actually recording the reruns- ace ace ace! I'm watching all the way back from mr pumuke!!
