I'm not sure how I feel about it

The poor women after 'doing' so much struggling with day-to-day life

I had a friend (who has now died) who worked at Bletchley Park. She was involved in translating the German messages once the code had been broken. She only told her husband she had been there 30 years later once they were allowed to make it public.

Just about to watch the second part on the iplayer now while DS is sleeping...

I enjoyed it.

So next week, looks like Susan meets the killer-bit cliched.

Does she realise-& do the others find her in time??!!

I think the tall one was in a detective thing as a woman who had been a man??

Yes, Rachael Stirling is very striking. I think she has her Mother's lovely eyes. Scary episode this week, but the domestic violence upset me the most too. Love Susan's house.

A bit predictable.

It is a bit 'soft' isn't it - a bunch of silly women getting up to jipes. aside from the terrifying themes that is. Kind of Prime Suspect crossed with (the very successful) Call the Midwife.

They´re not silly women, though-anything but!

valiumredhead · 16/09/2012 11:13

Quite diddl!

I don't think they're silly women! They are portrayed as 'silly women', in keeping with the way women were viewed then.
