Is there actually something redeemable about her?

I'd like to know too! I haven't watched any full episodes yet and I thought I had just missed it.

I don't think there is a story. She is 'there for her son' but that's all that has been said about it as far as I can tell.

I don't think there is one either. She is using him as an excuse to behave badly though.
