Can you recommend a tv series for me to watch?

DP and I have watched Lost, Alias, Stargate, the IT Crowd, Frasier.

We are thinking of starting at the beginning of either House or the Westwing. Any other suggestions?

Community is a really funny American show set in a community college. There are only 3 series so far (i think) but it is great. It even randomly has Chevy Chase in it as one of the main characters.

DraggleTailedWench, House is good but it's formulaic. There isn't really an ongoing story line to keep you hooked.

I second DisappointedHorse's recommendation for Breaking Bad.

You definitely should not go through life without watching the West Wing. That would be a huge oversight!

Enjoyed both House and The Wire but there is a bit of diminishing returns as you carry on through the seasons.

We are currently watching True Blood which is awesome in a Southern-Gothic-Sex-and-Blood-and-General-Weirdness way.

And also Game Of Thrones, which is pretty good, but it helps if you've read the book because there are a lot of people and a lot of scheming and double-crossing and suchlike. Although I've just noticed that the Blu-ray copy we've rented has a drop-down guide where you can read about which characters/location are in each scene which helps keep DH you on track.

Oh, I see someone suggested Firefly! It's good too, but you have to watch it bearing the pain of the knowledge that there is only one season of it.

You may have watched already, but Scrubs is hilarious!

Another vote for Game of Thrones, The Wire, Homeland and House.

West Wing is amazing also.

If you're in the mood for comedy get involved with 30 Rock - it's hilarious.
