Virgin have kindly put all the episodes on On Demand.

Question is, do I want to watch it? Is it any good?

It's fabulously entertaining old crap.
I have the box set.
Henry ageing by talking in a funny voice is particularly hilarious, as is Colm Wilson booming about being a proud Northener in an Irish accent, oh and Henry throwing fruit whenever he is angry, and randomly wanking into a pot in one episodeConfused

I absolutely love it! I know it's a bit trashy and not serious history at times but it is very enjoyable and I really really loved Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn.

And it's worth watching alone for Henry Cavill as Charles Brandon Wink

NettOlympicSuperstar · 05/08/2012 17:48

YY, Henry Cavill is hot, particularly during the first seriesGrin

MariosTash · 05/08/2012 17:50

I really love it but yes it is a bit trashy. Henry Cavill is gorgeous but then so is Jonathan Myers! Wink

out2lunch · 05/08/2012 23:07

trashy gory sexy but great fun

LadySybildeChocolate · 05/08/2012 23:08

Don't watch it if you want something factually accurate.

Galaxymum · 06/08/2012 11:49

Oh the Tudors is glorious! I loved it. Take the history with a pinch of salt and wallow in the gorgeousness of Henry Cavill and also Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn.

It's not historically accurate but it is a fabulous romp and very addictive!

womma · 07/08/2012 22:08

Oh watch it, it's ruddy hilarious! And although it's loosely based on history, it's an amazing story too.

cornybootseeker · 08/08/2012 22:18

I also have the box set - I love it all. Natalie dormer is fab.

cornybootseeker · 08/08/2012 22:21

Have to post more...
Fave bits include Catherine calling Henry 'usbend' all the time
Prince Edward had an Irish accent
Joss stone's accent as Anne of cleeves was bizarre

I'm doing a PhD in history of that very period (in Europe not England) but enjoyed it v much as entertainment and relaxation, despite plenty of inaccuracies - and thought some of the acting was good as well.
