Tonight bbc2 8pm. Am I the only one who is super excited about a new hairy series?!

Can't wait. Have booked place on the sofa.

It's set to record. Love a bit of Si & Dave - even if there's 3 stone less apiece!

Aquelven · 02/08/2012 19:27

Sacrilege! How can they go on a diet!

They're supposed to make all those lovely, big meals that dh &ds will actually eat. Not the pfaffing about little twiddly bits that so called celebrity chefs are always mauling about with their fingers once it's on your plate.

Aquelven don't panic it has apparently been done in true hairy style. And let's face it after the last series they really needed to do something and get back to where they were at the start.

Can't wait expecting lovely tasty but healthy food. (Still going to be doing a regular Hairy Pie though). Grin

Is it just me that's a bit shocked that they were surprised they were overweight? Shock

It's quite good so far but I want to see what they should be eating, that's still delicious! :)

Agree whenisit but I guess they are setting the scene.

Loving the look of that lasagne. I'll be interested in the book when it comes out as I'm sure there'll be one!

juicymelon · 02/08/2012 22:29

Book already available according to amazon. I'm adding to my wish list GrinBlush

I was a bit dissappointed to be honest.
I had thought it was a brilliant idea for a cookery show ie a show that shows us how to cook tasty but healthy food.
I had anticipated there would be some background stuff but not quite how much background stuff.
So at the end of an hour we had essentially been shown 1 meal, a faux lasagne, but no recipe.
Can only hope there will be more cooking a less chat in future progs.

mum2twoloudbabies · 03/08/2012 07:13

Agree wingedharpy not as good as I'd hoped. Hope it gets going next week.

I've loved every HB tv show so far but thought this one was really slow and overly scripted. Earlier shows worked because they seemed a bit more spontaneous and were funny, but here it all seemed a bit forced.

And yeah, that bit going to see doctors and having lunches with their immediate families and their cousins went on for far too long!

mum2twoloudbabies · 03/08/2012 11:37

You hit the nail on the head thecats. I couldn't put my finger on it but scripted is right.

Amazed how slim their families were
I'm sure I'd be the size of a house if I was married to one of them.

mum2twoloudbabies · 03/08/2012 17:28

Me too! Aquelven. Maybe they exercise loads either that or it is the amount of time they are away filming, touring, writing .... Allows them to recover

It seemed to go on forever, why would they need to have medical tests to show that they were overweight, talk about stating the obvious? Hope the next episode is much better.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/08/2012 16:54

finally watched no 1 - totally boring and who the hell keeps 20yr jeans

no 2 slightly better but not really that much low fat foods

there was a lot of oil in that chicken masala - surprised daily amount was under 1300 calories

2.5stone in 3 mths seems a lot - 3lbs a week
