Rachel from emmerdale. What colour is she meant to be? She only wears tracksuits, her hair looks like a helmet and I have never seen her smile. Now she's pregnant and even more miserable. I hope she runs far far away with the baby.

Michelle in Corrie has always unreasonably annoyed me, GRRR! I dislike her much more than characters who probably deserve it more. I don't know why she pushes my GRRR!button so much, except it's something to do with her smugness. Years ago she was always aggressively fronting up across the dinner table to some bloke and accusing him of 'only taking her out because he FANCIED her, because she's so ATTRACTIVE, geddit?' and blow me if she didn't have a go at Steve the other day for the same thing 'don't bother telling me you've got a kind heart Steve, you just FANCY ME don't you!'

On the subject of Faye, mentioned further down, I find her interesting because she is so irritating - no doubt she'll do an abrupt turnaround soon and reveal that all along she's had a heart of gold, in the way of soap characters brought in to cause a stir of conflicts then resolved into the usual furniture-character.

Does anyone else find it funny that Steve is nearly always referred to as 'Steve Macdonald' ?

I on really watch Coronation Street so my nominees are
