As it reaches its tenth series, dear old Dalziel and Pascoe is starting to look a bit wheezy, particularly when compared to whippersnappers like Rebus. The central relationship between Detective Chief Inspector Andy Dalziel and Detective Inspector Peter Pascoe (Warren Clarke and Colin Buchanan) isn't as solid as it once was, as both men increasingly go their separate ways, using their own methods. Tonight a man's body is found in a run-down house. He to have committed suicide - a scenario Dalziel is keen to promote, even though Pascoe has his doubts. But Andy is blinded by his affections for the dead man's glamorous, estranged wife (Cherie Lunghi). This tale of family loyalties and betrayals concludes tomorrow.
