I am glad Reese Witherspoon and Philip Seymour Hoffman won. And Rachel Wiez won best supporting actress, and georgeous George for Syriana.

But: Charlize Theron's frock? AND What on EARTH was Michelle Williams (Brokeback Mountain) wearing?

Was MW looking miserable? Every photo I have seen of her recently she dosen't seem able to raise a smile. Sad

Gingerbear · 06/03/2006 11:51

Yes, probably because she had chosen a frock in a fetching mariogold yellow shade - She needs to read MN Style Advice!

Making huggeeee assumptions here, but she has a lovely (i assume, based purely on looks) husbnd, a lovely baby girl, a successful film career, could she be a little depressed???

sparklymieow · 06/03/2006 12:03

lahdeedah · 06/03/2006 20:52

am I the only one who thinks Michelle looked fabulous?? Smile

I agree Charlize's frock was ridiculous - and thought Keira looked weird in that dress - she's like a stick and that style of dress needs serious cleavage to balance out the big skirt. Would have looked much better on someone like Scarlett Johannson. Thought Rachel Weisz looked lovely (excellent cleavage there) and George is always dreamy......... Grin

Just seen pic of Felicity Huffman - Zac Posen dress I think, gorgeous - hope I look that good at her age

hermykne · 06/03/2006 21:20

she AND the hubbie are looking v good at every show they turn up to - secret vice E channel fashion reports

beetlejuice73 · 06/03/2006 21:24

I have yet to see a dress I really like. Have perused E! Online and MSN. Padma Lakshmi quite good, Jennifer Aniston OK, Jessica Alba not bad. Not sure I really like the electric blue lots of them wearing. How is it that women with so much money and help can't avoid droopy looking breasts in low-cut dresses?

hermykne · 06/03/2006 21:26

bj i thought JA looked awful, black drained her.

and thats true about the boobs, it is odd that.

beetlejuice73 · 06/03/2006 21:32

well that's another thing H. So many of them choose such unflattering colours. Maybe it's just the lights but...
Anyway, when my day on the red carpet comes I'll be choosing something simple, classic and curve-enhancing.
