Did anyone else catch it? What a deeply moving programme from an articulate and thoughtful man. Wow, really made me think and am still tearful.

I cried too, what a lovely young man he appeared to be.

Bbc3 at 9 its on catch up just watching. Bawling already because I'm a SW and we have to beg for emergency placements quite often. I work with some amazing carers who have come through for v damaged kids. However I've also worked with the lost children still bouncing around placements right until they leave care and slipping through every net Sad

I hope it encourages more people to foster.
Still can't stop thinking about it.

Yes I watched on catch-up.

It was really Sad when he met up with his 2 previous foster mothers (though probably heavily edited).
And his birth mother. Did she say why she didn't feel able to keep him?

He said he wasn't available for adoption because his mother hadn't put him forward for adoption.
His life seemed to be in limbo. But he went to Uni and seemed quite well balanced.
Of course, we weren't given the whole story, he admits he was a handful as a 5yo. Then the vandalism.

Sad
