Anyone else watching?

What nights is it on?

Is it a repeat?

If not, what have I seen that´s so similar??

Yes, tonight, no, don't know.

I watched it on iPlayer in the bath the other night. Enjoyable diversion.

diddl · 03/07/2012 09:33

Sorry, I knew it was on tonight as it said at the end of the one I watched(Sunday).

Was wondering if the night varied of maybe I caught a repeat?

I thought it was OK tbh.

Well, I want to know what´s going on!

Maybe it was just obvious rather than familiar?

When the two went home early-you just knew that something would happen, for example.

Looking at my handy Guardian Guide (!), the one last Sunday night (Beeb2, 10.40pm) was apparently a repeat; and the one tonight at 9pm on Beeb 2 appears to be a different episode and not a repeat.

I don't know when the next one after that is on.

That's not really helpful, is it? I blame the Guardian.

diddl · 03/07/2012 10:37

According to this, after tonight, it´s on again next Tues.

Tonight 9pm. I really enjoyed it.

LineRunner · 03/07/2012 18:24

Ooh, Twenty Twelve's on after! Ace.

Thanks.

diddl · 03/07/2012 22:08

So how come after what we just saw, how come Gates is even working in the next ep??!!

OP posts:
amothersplaceisinthewrong · 03/07/2012 22:13

Thank God Gina McKee has gone. Does she ever play anything but dreary whispering women.

It was Ep 2 tonight.

oshuk · 03/07/2012 22:19

I fell asleep about 15 mins before end, anyone care to summarise please?

hifi · 03/07/2012 22:51

Gripping.also wondering how gates has got out of being framed for jackies murder.gina is as wet as a fart I agree.

highlandcoo · 03/07/2012 23:38

Shock Gina is my distant relative I slightly agree

cocolepew · 03/07/2012 23:43

I really like it. Gina was a pychopath in it Hmm.

fortifiedwithtea · 04/07/2012 01:36

Shock at the negative comments. I'm totally gripped Smile. Teen DD was grossed out by the sex talk though.

LineRunner · 04/07/2012 08:49

Fortunately DS (14) missed the sex talk but came in at the end to say goodnight just in time to see Gina McKee get her throat slit. He wants me to write to Points of View as Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells. I think he may be serious.

slartybartfast · 04/07/2012 10:22

i wanted to enjoy it, but the lead bloke, whathisname, not gates, the one who is investigating him, does not have charisma. imo
and vicky mcclure seemed to be pretty out of order talking to gates the way she did, in fact although i am enjoying it it seems a bit far fetched.

cocolepew · 04/07/2012 11:02

Adrian Dunbar is ace.

diddl · 04/07/2012 11:11

I think so too, coco.

Is his character genuine or will he be corrupt in some way?

I think the lead guy(Arnott) is great tbh.

I love the contrast of his innocence with corruption he´s surrounded by-and he think´s he knows it all 6 will doubtless come unstuck!

Gate´s 2 sidekicks-how are they good enough to work with Gates-what´s going on there?

OP posts:
slartybartfast · 04/07/2012 11:12

martin compston is the one i mean, arnot

cocolepew · 04/07/2012 11:21

Oh Arnott looks like David Walliams love child.

LineRunner · 04/07/2012 18:38

Arnott is teeny tiny
