Is Mr Blooms accent real?

DS loves Mr Blooms nursery. The more I watch it the less I'm convinced TBH. It sounds like a badly put on Yorkshire accent. Anyone met him, what's your verdict?

Apparently he's from Cornwall so accent will be put on en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Faulks
