Eastenders - that prem baby looks so real how do they film it

does anyone know how they filmed the scenes of baby Scarlett/Patricia? So realstic, if it's an anamatronic baby it's amazing. Would anyone actually put their prem DC forward to be filmed like this? Surely any tiny angel so small as this is not stable enough to be mucked around with for the sake of a tv show (not even the mighty Enders)!

I think Casualty used to borrow the animatronic prem baby from the ER crew in the US, so maybe the BBC forgot to give it back.

another Eastenders baby robbery?? Let's not go there! It is freakishly realistic, although I have noticed that they never leave a shot on the baby for more than about one second. So maybe it wouldn't bear up to scrutiny. Although I have rewound and re-watched one scene because it was so affecting. And it was just as convincing the second time.

I didn't think it looked realistic at all, in fact dh and I have spent the entire time saying "Well, that wouldn't happen in a real SCUBU."

At certain angles the baby looks realistic but my baby's head was turned to either the left or right side. The baby is huge compared to what my baby looked like,

I would imagine that the baby is not 'real' as i cant see any premmie parent allowing their baby to be filmed for 'acting' reasons.
It does look so lifelike though, lets hope baby 'patricia' pulls through because i don't want to see any more baby tragedies in soaps

I thought the same about everyone coming in and out, although not a SCBU DS was in HDU at 8 weeks and no way would people be allowed to come and go like that!

Still makes me cry seeing the 'baby' on CPAP though.

I know. I can't help think about my partner as he was born even earlier (around about half way through pregnancy) was in an incubator for months. It's horrible to think about. Had to stop myself from crying.
