I think the psychologists comment about lack of empathy was telling.

That last guy with his wife was different... I've conflicting feelings there.
But it frightened me kind of... You never know what anyone is capable of.

I think ozzie murdered his friend in an argument about drugs.

absolutely fascinating. And totally true about the lack of empathy - for some people, hat part of their brain is literally switched off

Harsher prison system for these 'people'.one whom kicked a guy to death in the street after robbing him in the street has 2 budgies.

I feel sick,

(a) the prison regime works on punishment and reward. The base minimum is a bed and blanket Every little additional thing you see in a cell is there as a result of good behaviour

(b) That guy isn't the same guy as he was when he committed that crime though, is he? He has more empathy now, and recognises that his sentence is something he needs to do to ever see his family again (the same man eloquently dismissed escape as an option).

That guy on there that was banging on about his qualifications and saying he wasnt a bad person and anyone could commit murder......I just hope his victims family werent watching!

That other young guy also seemed to prefer prison life - probably a more secure existence to him!

Very sad all round I thought.
