OK, watching now. I know it is a repeat, but I just don't get one bit. WHY did River blow up the Tardis?

I would be forever grateful if someone could explain?

She didn't. She wasn't the cause of the explosion.

So who / what was? And why did she say sorry?

The cracks are something to do with it. I think. I can't remember properly as its been a while since I saw it too.

She says sorry I think because she tried to stop it etc but couldn't.

It's fecking confusing isn't it! :)

It still looks like whatever she did caused the explosion....

I thought it was the Silence that caused the explosion? I will watch them with my DS again tomorrow but that's what I thought. She volunteered to go into the Tardis to try and stop the explosion, I thought. Hope it's all tied up in the next series.
