What the hell WAS that? Is anyone else as baffled as me? I have bloody loved this series. Even though I knew it was far-fetched I relished the cut and thrust of courtroom drama, decent actors, decent plot lines, decent script...and then the end has just gone and ruined it for me! Why did Martha forgive Billy for accepting bribes? Why wasn't he instantly fired when it all came out in court? What the HELL did the jury think was going on? And are we really supposed to believe that Billy got Rupert Penry whatsisname off his impending hearing by threatening the judge?? All too bloody bizarre for words....what a waste!

Yeah. Um. Billy did the right thing in the end.

I presume Jody Farr is still going to get killed by his brother for shagging his wife, DH reckons the police thought it was easier to do that then get a guilty verdict. I thought he seemed happy to go off with the journalist (did RPJ try to snog her?)

Can anyone help me? Who was the Jusge last night - what else has he been in? It's driving me mad.

Billy didn't threaten the judge, he threatened the defence lawyer in the case RPJ was prosecuting in Oxford.
