I am confused now. According to my telly it should be episode 12 tonight. When did Deb witness him to a murder?

OMG, just watched season finale ! Far too long to wait now for the next season. And now I'm off to bed.

It flagged in the middle but picked up a lot. I really could have done without the odyssey to see Trinity's family.

I liked it but kept thinking lots of things had happened before - didn't Debs nearly catch Dexter before but he was saved by the very unDebs-like act of failing to look behind the door?

Still, I'm looking forward to the next season. Surely the mysterious Lewis will be back? Perhaps they will make up their minds whether LaGuerta is nice or nasty, devoted worker or incompetent backstabber.

I hope they give Vince more to do. I've missed his disgusting quips

Much as I love Dex I was struggling a bit with Deb. I love Deb - I think she is one of the most complex, well drawn, whole female characters in any show. And so f*ing funny.
But she has to 'learn and change' I loved her just the way she was.

I love Dexter and can't wait for the next series. But what was with the ice truck killers hand being sent by the tech geek (can't remember his name) is he another serial killer??

I think that's going to be the next season's storyline InNeedofSomeSleep. I don't think he's already a serial killer, but the fact he created a game where you could pretend to be one was hinting he's maybe a bit iffy.

I love deb's character too Muriel, I'm a bit worried what the next season will have in store for her.

Have just watched it. I thought the Debs confessing all to him was going to be the big ending, didn't expect she'd see him kill! (Wonder how that will affect her feelings..?)
Couldn't he just say travis attacked him in the church and he had to kill him? (Yes I know the plastic is hard to explain).

I have to say that I thought it a bit of a sloppy ending. Like dexter is normally so careful about covering his tracks, but he chose to kill travis in a place where debs - and probably more of his colleagues -knew he'd be. I was surprised by that.

Having said that, I am often on the edge of my seat when watching dexter and can't wait for the next season.

I wonder if he was 'dreaming'... and just a fantasy of his own, that Deb should find him... and they become partners in serial killing? If she has surpressed her feelings for him all this time... could she have surpressed feelings of wanting to kill too?

and yes i am very surprised he took travis back to a murder scene and one which debs said needed to be re-examined etc - therefore surely would have a policeman on guard/watch at all times??
