and then faff around with it so much that you can't possibly get to watch it, just discovered for the nth time I've missed it tonight

the guy who won was a technically proficient cook but seemed completely characterless and was pretty hopeless in the commercial kitchen

he's a bit of a perfectionist

but to be honest, he wasn't up against much (one of the other contestants, one of the last 3, cooked a thai green curry and used curry paste from a jar - I kid you not!)

foxinsocks · 24/02/2006 10:35

it's on at 4pm again today (that's for London - don't know if it is different for the other regions)

next week it looks like it is back to the annoying 6.30pm slot

zippitippitoes · 24/02/2006 18:39

lol

I still missed it I forgot it was on earlier!

Okay missed it AGAIN! FFS!

Could I please ask someone to fill me in as to who won this week and don't say Jenny!

TIA

RedZuleika · 24/02/2006 21:53

You lot need to get a Humax.

Couldn't believe the bought-in curry paste.

TwoIfBySea · 24/02/2006 22:13

So was it Jenny who won?

zippitippitoes · 24/02/2006 22:15

what's this teasing with tit bits about curry paste?

I use that [shame]

we can't get freeview but we have sky but doesn't seem to be repeated

RedZuleika · 24/02/2006 22:25

Aah, but if you had a Humax, you'd get freeview and you'd be able to type in 'Masterchef' and record with one push button all the future programmes currently in its tv guide. And not even have to look at what time they're on.

zippitippitoes: you may use curry paste. So do I. But I'm not on tv hoping to wow a 'top chef and restauranteur' and an 'ingredients expert'...

zippitippitoes · 27/02/2006 18:01

right are we geared up to watch this at 6.30 today oram i still getting it wrong?

It ruddy better be!!! Grin

Bomper · 27/02/2006 22:33

Errm, why do they bother having the first two rounds on Masterchef? The bloke was clearly far better than the two women on today, and yet because his last meal wasn't entirely up to scratch he got ousted?! A travisty if you ask me!!
