Just catching up on weeks of Desperate Housewives - need info please (spoiler alert)

So, haven't watched it for ages... got it on 4oD whilst doing some jobs. Some of the episodes are no longer available - so have just found out that Mike is dead but no idea what happened and can't see how to get earlier episodes to find out - anyone know?

Rene's boyfriend got involved with a loan shark who started threatening her. Mike scared him off so he came back and shot him.
