Freeview gone mad? or is it my tuning incompetence?!

I have freeview, bought telly 3 years ago.

It has been losing channels over the past few weeks, I now have only BBC channels left!

Anyone else have this problem?

I have gone to set up and done auto tune, and then sometimes the other channels come back but right now I have only about 7 channels (all BBC).

is it me? is it freeview? Is it the digital turnover thing? Shoudl I have done something I haven't ?

What do you mean the other channels come back but right now you only have 7?.

do you mean it's finding them when you tune and then losing them?.

my only advice is to borrow a set top box and see if that works, my TV is fine it's a Samsung thats probably 3+ years old, so it could be your aerial as part of it was to shut down a load of transmitters, you may find you will never have all the channels if you live in the sticks without having to get Freesat.

yes it happens all the time (started a few months ago). I retune, get most of the channels back, then they are gone again. Often the channels come back. But this time not!

I am sort of in the sticks (village) but close to a big city.

Could be what I said then, try and borrow a set top box thats not too old and see if that makes a difference, if not borrow an aerial and if that fails Freesat.
