Kirstie Allsopp: Parenting 'isn't rocket science'

Just watched this clip on bbc news and Dr Ellie Lee made me really cross by the end. She kept interrupting and Kirstie never got her point across at all. Not that I'm a huge fan of Kirstie. But give the woman a chance to speak for goodness sake

Especially when I've seen Dr Lee in where she was spouting nonsense then. Although that is a 9 minute clip. But I enjoyed the drubbing she received on that by the Psychologist

What do you all make of this?

hmm, not sure tbh. I dont know why kirsty is on this band wagon, I remember her comment about social housing, along the lines of tenants being trash, no link sorry so maybe seen as generalising. and her comments about truancy in an attempt to yet again sert herself and others like her aside from everyone else. but anyway the point is really what qualifies her to be the tsar on all thses social problems again she was ill educated in her debate. O find her a little medling in her attempts at fame.

She obviously hasn't parented a pre-teen yet.

maybe parenting classes would be better suited to her nannies as she said herself she personaly cant commit to one evening every week to do parenting classes....urm but others should, as obviously she isnt talking about her self of course.

I think she's an ambassador for HomeStart and that's why they interviewed her.

now my beef is why people compare everything with rocket science. The basics of rocket science really aren't that difficult. Brain surgery now thats a differnt matter...

She was repeating the rocket science part after both the others said it first. Not that I'm trying to defend her. It just incensed me at the time that she never even got to speak fully and Dr Ellie Lee seems to irritate me for no known reason. Perhaps I'm just a grumpy caahhh?

JUst because Kirstie has popped out a few babies i dont know why she is an authority on child rearing and she is a complete snob i cant stand her

it isn't rocket science. that's part of the problem. its more about doing the same things every day for someone who is likely to be short on appreciation at least some of the time.

rocket science is mostly maths.
