Does the Walking Dead start again on Monday?

Andrea mentions her job at the beginning of the first season. I seem to remember there is an instance where she tries to stand up to Shane and he's really patronising about her profession.

Apologies she's a civil rights attorney which I guess makes more sense in the geographical context of the series.

Technically, I don't think police are counted as professionals - in sociological terms - I think you have to have a fair degree of higher education to be defined as a professional - at least an undergraduate degree and then some specialist occupational training.

So, Andrea as a lawyer is a professional but Rick and his mate aren't. I guess because they are law enforcers whereas lawyers are law makers and judges (potentially) and higher up the social ladder.

Still, it's interesting so, are all the other characters blue collar or similar? Of course, there's also a vet now (in series 2) I haven't seen series 3.

How come the vet homestead haven't done any barricading of their ranch, with all those zombies in the woods - I was expecting something more like 28 Days later where the army occupy a country house.
And why aren't people using the phone books to find out where the gun shops are?
Everyone's fighting over half a dozen guns when there must be shed loads in American gun shops.

I was wondering why they haven't gone out and got themselves new cars and a new RV as that one seems to break down all the time.

That's all part of the show silliness. In the same way Darryl drives a ridiculous over-noisy Harley which probably uses up a tank a mile.
They should have gone to the nearest store and stocked up on antibiotics, tampons, guns, ammo, non perishable food, petrol etc. and kept an extra supply car for emergency use.

They should have escape routes planned in case of zombie attack and an emergency protocol/meet up point so that everyone knows what to do.

Instead they live in tents and wash clothes incessantly.

How about moving to an empty farm and getting new clothes from just about any place they find?

I love The Walking Dead. Obsessively.
