After last week- I'm finding it hard to muster up the enthusiasm. And I caught a glimpse of JJ on Graham Norton, where she was very shoutyGrin

There have been complaints about the fact the results weren't 'live'- though it's not like the Beeb doesn't have previous for doing that.
I wonder if Bill.je.suis will still be tweeting through out?

I have realised the reason i am not quite getting into this is the lack of alcohol, so i might just ditch the diet for night and see if it improves the showGrin

maybe I should start now....Wine

I've given up watching, ladies. I'm sorry. I tried, really, but in the end, I have had to quit. See you on The Apprentice boards Grin

SuePurblybilt · 07/05/2012 09:27

I don't disagree that she can sing (I wanted to type 'wail', like Wayne's World then) but I don't like her songs. The last one was stabby, this one is tedious.

Raahh · 07/05/2012 10:12

Grin@ Sue

I think i will stick this out to the bitter end. i have nothing better to do with my eveningsGrin

I think it is early next week because of the BGT final (which is one of the few shit things I don't watch, along withe 'i'm a celebrity...')

Shit singers and Bill.je.suis shaking his arse or dancing dogs? Such a dilemma!

OP posts:
SuePurblybilt · 07/05/2012 11:04

Oh yes, I'm in till the bitter end as well, can't be doing with BGT.

Acekicker · 07/05/2012 11:35

I think they're whittling them down quite fast now aren't they - 4 more will go next week.

Glad Ruth-Ann went, being 'only' 18 has fuck all to do with holding a tune. Truly good singers generally can avoid being 'pitchy' years before that.

Re Free Fallin' didn't we decide a couple of weeks ago that it was all little kids and parents watching The Voice? Wouldn't most parents know of Tom Petty? Or am I showing my age horribly now? Glad that Hannah-the-Cheerleader has gone as well!

noddyholder · 07/05/2012 13:42

I am going off it after loving it Even finding Will i am cringey and fake. Hate Toni Love danny though he is so naff but has no idea Grin

timetoask · 07/05/2012 13:51

I enjoyed the first few weeks, and now it is going downhill. Its not the singers, its the judges, they are very repetitive and boring.
I hate to say it but I think the X-FACTOR is more catching (even though I don't really watch it anymore).
Or maybe I'm just getting too old for all this :o

ledkr · 07/05/2012 17:49

noddy I agree I started keen but am fast going off it. It is a bit cringey, all that crying and overblown facial expressions.
Ill still be watching though.

cocolepew · 07/05/2012 17:50

I saw The Script on MTV today (I'm dope) and Danny was lovely in it. He had perfect pitch and, erm, licks

ledkr · 07/05/2012 17:52

I think Ruth Anne is in a professor Green song,i saw it on tv.Is this right?

Jux · 07/05/2012 18:38

Missed the Sunday show. Do I care? Not really, though it might have been worth it to see Le.Petit.Will not-dancing and being batty. Not entirely sure that sitting through yet another really awful results show would be worth even that though.

See what you mean about Bob Downe, cybbo! Grin

The problem with the show is that you have some vaguely talented, some even more vaguely talented, some not talented at all, performers, and some judges. Unless you have some real frisson between the judges (which we don't) or Simon Cowell, then it becomes progressively more dull. None of the performers are good enough to make it edge of the seat/compulsive viewing. None of the judges are mean enough/funny enough to carry it either.

All we have is various permutations of Will. If the rest of it were a bit better, then he could carry it, but it's becoming more and more dire and dull, and soon the little elf won't be enough to get people to turn on in droves.

Sorry, Gorgeous. We love you and all that, but we'd love you more on something else.

swooosh · 07/05/2012 18:42

ledkr thats a different Ruth Anne. That Ruth Anne is very good.

SuePurblybilt · 07/05/2012 19:20

I shall be properly sad though, if this has replaced the genius that was the Andrew Lloyd Webber shows - the searching for joseph/maria/dorothy/nancy ones. They were good value.

cocolepew · 07/05/2012 19:24
ledkr · 07/05/2012 19:47

swoosh Grin

Raahh · 07/05/2012 19:56

Sue- I agree- there has to be some shit musical that needs reviving? They could do 'Annie'- little kids, perhaps a dog, what's not to like?Grin
Will.he.ever.put.his.phone.down would be fab on a Lloyd Webber show- he'd have no clue what was going on, and everyone would just be 'dope'.

InWithTheITCrowd · 07/05/2012 20:16

They are! They're doing Jesus Christ, Superstar. True.

Raahh · 07/05/2012 20:21

InWithTheITCrowd- really! That's good news. Although i hope the 'bin them off' song won't be anything to do with the crucifixtionHmm It woud be a bit 'Life of Brian'Grin

OP posts:
InWithTheITCrowd · 07/05/2012 20:42

Shite...just checked my twitter feed. Jesus Christ Superstar is on ITV not BBC. DH has informed me that beeb are not doing one, but Andrew Lloyd Webber is doing the ITV one. Jason Donovan and Mel C are on the panel...

Raahh · 07/05/2012 20:44

oh....well at least the Lord is involved- won't be the same without Graham Norton, thoughSad- and Mel C -wtf???Grin

OP posts:
SuePurblybilt · 07/05/2012 21:46

Yes, because Mel C has such a glittering career.

I hope they keep the same format though. 'You could be Jesus...'

Raahh · 07/05/2012 21:50

Will they all be in matchy multi-coloured loin cloths, do you think?

pmsl@ 'you could be Jesus' Grin

OP posts:
Acekicker · 07/05/2012 21:52

Grin at You could be Jesus.

Didn't Mel C star in Blood Brothers when they'd run out of Nolans or something? She has done some musical theatre I think...

I'm wracking my brains now to think what the 'so long, farewell' song will be...(assuming they keep to a similar format).

SuePurblybilt · 07/05/2012 22:02

I've no idea, JC doesn't get the best songs, does he? Maybe he'll sing I Don't Know How to Love Me.

They can re-use the loincloths from the Josephs

CJCregg · 07/05/2012 23:33

Please, please, please let them do a bicycle number.
