It's a puuuuppet!

expatinscotland · 13/02/2006 23:10

On ER? I thought, 'What a well trained chimp!'

AllBuggiedOut · 13/02/2006 23:15

What a weird episode it was. All seemed a bit off the wall!

No tears in this household. But I couldn't watch the programme that was on before it about 80 year old children as just the trailers nearly set me off...

Marina · 13/02/2006 23:17

Expat! How DARE you talk about John Leguizamo that way!
Dry-eyed I'm afraid SL. I found the whole incident, what with RoboSurgeon as well, a bit weird, like ABO.
Now I did cry when Haleh was sacked by an alien masquerading as a nurse manager. That WAS sad.

expatinscotland · 13/02/2006 23:18

Gawd, when are Abby and Lucca just going to get on? She needs laid badly!

threelittlebabies · 13/02/2006 23:20

Me, and dh laughed at me, as he always does!

SorenLorensen · 13/02/2006 23:23

I know it's a puppet! I still cried. The Mum finding nits in Abby's hair wasn't a puppet (must post that on a nits thread - get a chimp, it will find them and eat them).

I thought it was the best episode of this season - that new doctor and the nurse from Third Rock have livened it up a bit.

On the 80 year old kids thing...and I haven't watched any of this series so may be out of line...does it not seem like a bit of a modern day freak show? Two weeks ago it was the 'mermaid' baby, last week was the desperately overweight man, this week the super-aged kids, next week the conjoined twins where one only has a head and no body. Maybe I'm misjudging and there is some 'worth' in the programme but from the tiny bits I've seem it looks like the modern day TV equivalent of the travelling freakshow. Hard to see how they can justify it.

I think Abby's getting it awn with the new doctor (John Leguiziamo - was he in Band of Brothers?)... leaving the way clear for the "30-something Mum from Cheshire, new love interest for Luka Kovac" storyline.

Greg is truly a Pratt. Danny Glover is a waaay cool Dad.

i must admit... I was a little choked up.

satine · 14/02/2006 17:10

John Leguziwhatsit was the dwarfy Toulouse Lautrec in Moulin Rouge! It's wierd to see him normal height!

Moomin · 14/02/2006 17:12

he was tybalt in the 1997 romeo+juliet - and very good he was too.

don't like it when abby is in relationships - she goes all horrible and screwed up and is nasty to her bf. [also don't like it when carrie bradshaw has a bf, but for different reasons!]

taramac · 14/02/2006 17:14

Think the Abby and Luca thing does happen in next few weeks - not sure if its a 1 nighter or start of relationship again as only caught few minutes on RTE - Irish channel

SorenLorensen · 14/02/2006 23:03

Moulin Rouge, of course! Thanks satine (wild guess - you're a fan ?)

Thought it was a really good episode - back to the style of the early series when weird things were always happening.

Flamesparrow · 15/02/2006 22:09

I did get a tad emotional ... but was sooo lost - why were they treating a chimp???

sphil · 15/02/2006 22:50

Yep I was lost too - the new dr speaks through clenched teeth (he did this as Tybalt too I remember! Mind you, Dh and I are always turning to each other and saying 'What did he/she say?'when we're watching ER...

expatinscotland · 15/02/2006 22:56

I'd have Lucca's babies. Yes, he's enough to get me out of retirement.
