Who is your fave presenter?

Did anyone see the episode where a couple were looking for a house, in Devon, I think, and all they wanted to do in each house was rip out the period features, install a bar, and replace the grass with AstroTurf?

Whoopydofoxpoo · 08/05/2012 19:30

Jules is on Countryfile now and again - beats Adam (Adams Farm ) who keeps going on about Bovine TB .

Whoopydofoxpoo · 08/05/2012 19:32

I also like House under the Hammer - public buy some derelict lost causes at auctions and then turn it around - some fantastic transformations !

Sparklingbrook · 08/05/2012 20:31

Is TBONTB the one that Damon out of Brookside sometimes presents? Confused

SoupDragon · 08/05/2012 20:39

Simon O'Brien presents To Build or not to Build. The TBONTB referred to below is To Buy or not to Buy though :)

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 08/05/2012 21:02

AA is completely gorgeous and is my gaycrush.

Whoopydo damn those farmers and their problems eh?

Whoopydofoxpoo · 08/05/2012 21:39

Absolutely ! Grin

Horsemad · 08/05/2012 22:26

Sparkling and SoupDragon Simon O'Brien does present To Build or not to Build - however, he also used to present TBONTB, that is the one where there are two presenters on the show, can't remember them all, think one is called Ed and there was a lady called Rani I think?

SwedishEdith · 08/05/2012 22:36

Jules wears lots of Joules as well - he should organise some sort of sponsorship.

I quite fancy Jonny something, who also does TBONTB but lovely funny Kristian was still the best.

Sparklingbrook · 08/05/2012 22:38

The only thing I can think of about To Buy or Not to Buy, is the presenters always sit on a garden bench with their headphones on making sarky comments, Grin

Horsemad · 08/05/2012 22:48

Yes Sparkling they do!! I do like that prog though! Got a bit of a thing about Simon O'Brien too (can admit it here!)

Love Jules' bucolic glow & I like listening to him enthuse, he seems genuinely knowledgeable, and think Alistair is a close 2nd. Am less keen on Denise or Nikki (Melissa's ok) because they lack expertise. Wondered if I was being sexist about this but Jasmine Harmon on A Place in The Sun is very good too, imo.

SwedishEdith · 08/05/2012 22:51

Yes, I love Jasmine - all glowy and healthy and just nice.

Queenofcake · 08/05/2012 23:04

Who is the blonde woman that talks very posh and looks a bit like a horse??

I find her very annoying and condescending.

I like AA best.

SwedishEdith · 08/05/2012 23:09

Oh, ha ha, yes I know who you mean as she has now been relegated to 60 Minute Makeover and looks horrified at the common people's houses Grin Catherine something

Horsemad · 08/05/2012 23:10

OMG, is that that Catherine Gee woman? She used to present it eons ago, I can't bear her!

She also did Through the Keyhole after Loyd gave it up and also did The Farmer wants a Wife where they did a dating thing for farmers.

OP posts:
VillaEphrussi · 08/05/2012 23:10

Oh yes she's very horsey and even walks a bit like a horse... Glimpsed her on 60 minute makeover recently (no, I do draw the line there) but didn't think it looked like her scene at all.

VillaEphrussi · 08/05/2012 23:11

Ah x-posted with Swedish

Horsemad · 08/05/2012 23:11

That's an insult to horses Villa Grin

OP posts:
VillaEphrussi · 08/05/2012 23:12

Ha yes, she's a bit unappealing.

Horsemad · 08/05/2012 23:21

I've just googled Alistair and he's 42! Not sure how old I thought he was, but I was surprised at that!

OP posts:
BustersOfDoom · 08/05/2012 23:25

Jules every time! And why can't they go back and update all the repeats that they are showing from 2009/10/11? How hard can it be? The BBC must still have contact details for all the punters.

I'd love to know whether Giles and Flick or whatever they were called are now running a llama farm in Dorset!

Dee03 · 08/05/2012 23:31

I didn't know kristian digby had died either

How did i not know this Sad

VillaEphrussi · 08/05/2012 23:34

Bit of a soft spot for Jules as well. Always imagined him to have been a middle MC boy who'd been put into boarding school and really bought into it all though, iykwim - the constant puffas and Crew shirts and saying 'come on!' to the houseviewers. But still quite sexy. And he was on something with his dad and seemed very sweet.

Horsemad · 08/05/2012 23:37

Oooh i don't find Jules sexy, but do like his presenting style!
