Some of their food is quite disgusting though. And I do find their shtick quite tedious. Loved the apricot tarte tatin though

Overall I think I'll stick with Nigel Slater and Nigella Smile

NowWeKnow · 30/04/2012 13:41

Aw no I love all their banter.

Nigel Slater I love too, but he's completely different and he does annoy me a teensy bit with his flippin picking everything from his garden. All I've got in mine is a tampoline, a bald patch under the swing and quite a lot of weeds Blush.

My DP can't stand Nigel for the same reason - he finds him so smug with all his grown-your-own guff. We don't even have a garden - only a balcony where the rusty watering can, recycling box and mop and bucket live Grin

choceyes · 30/04/2012 13:57

I've been watching this and loving it!

Mrsjay · 30/04/2012 22:19

the only person who ever has supper is Nigel slater Grin love the HB I like their banter and ive a huge crush on SI king

lazarusb · 01/05/2012 12:59

I've seen them live twice and thoroughly recommend it. Very, very funny Grin

Mrsjay · 01/05/2012 16:48

they are touring again this year sometimes im going to try and get tickets for me and dd2 Smile

Mrsjay · 01/05/2012 16:49

sometime*

lazarusb · 01/05/2012 17:19

How old is your dd Mrsjay? They can be a bit rude (nothing offensive but near the knuckle ifykwim). They are great fun though Grin

BeeInMyBonnet · 01/05/2012 18:44

Ooh how can we find out where they're touring to? I'd love them to turn up in my kitchen and take over.

They seem such lovely chaps and the people they talk to appear to genuinely like them.

iklboo · 01/05/2012 18:47

Si. Sigh. Grin

Ryoko · 01/05/2012 19:03

They have inspired me to bake bread.

I all ways thought it was a hard thing to make with a lot of hard work, but with there constants "kneed for about ten mins" mantra I've been drawn in, abandoned the idea of buying a bread maker and am happy baking my own bread.

All hail the Hairy Bikers is there a book to accompany this series?.

iklboo · 01/05/2012 19:09

Their website has full tour details.

Join the Bikers as they bring you into their rambunctious world for an evening of laughter, high-jinks and just possibly a bit of cooking on the side! Audiences will be regaled with tales from their culinary expeditions, some hair-raising, many ridiculous and all of them shared in the Bikers’ inimitable style.

BeeInMyBonnet · 01/05/2012 19:44

Thanks for that iklboo. I didn't know they had a website. Doesn't look like the tour is coming near meSad

Blimey, looks like they're going on a diet according to their site and swapping their motorbikes for pushbikes. Hairy bikers in lycra maybe?Grin Dh will be pleased. He was most snippy about them riding their motorbikes in the Alps. He's a cycle fanatic who loves the agony of cycling up a nice high mountain

Poledra · 01/05/2012 20:48

Si King is mine - as far back as 2008 on here I claimed him not that I've searched meself to check, oh no

Lottapianos · 02/05/2012 13:08

I have to say I did enjoy the last program in this series. I'm another one with a bit of a mild crush on Si (due to severe beard fetish) but I'm in denial about it Smile

I love Nigel Slater wish he was my flatmate but he makes my teeth itch every time he says 'supper' Hmm
