Is anyone watching? I was only one so obviously have no memories of it all happening at the time...it's a good watch though.

I was nearly 10, remember all of this surprisingly well..

StellaAndFries · 28/04/2012 22:24

I'm watching it with dp, he was 8 and I was -10 Grin

PoppadumPreach · 28/04/2012 22:25

i was only 1 however it seems like little changed between 72 and early 80s!

spangles! remember you could suck them so they had a hole in the middle? (or was that just me?)

EdithWeston · 28/04/2012 22:25

David Cassidy was born in 1950.

I remember everything that's been on so far [old bag emoticon]

Primrose123 · 28/04/2012 22:28

I was 1 too. Enjoying the show though, and I do remember some of it.

Jellykat · 28/04/2012 22:30

Not just you Poppadum, i did exactly the same! Grin
Wasn't the writing on the Spangles packet in the same style as the magpie logo?

LetsKateWin · 28/04/2012 22:37

Remember the advert for Look In? La la la la Look In...

Yes it was. I think LTN and all those shows were repeated several times during the 70's, thats why we remember them.

Marc Bolan was beautiful.

And, I love a young Robert de Niro. Dont know if I can stomach Mean Streets though.

usualsuspect · 28/04/2012 22:39

I remember all of it , I was a cool kid who watched Magpie Grin

I'm looking forward to next weeks, I love 1977

PoppadumPreach · 28/04/2012 22:44

Jellykat yes i think it was - suspect it was a supercool 70s font used on only the hippest products!

Jellykat · 28/04/2012 22:54

Ah yes..
Fond memories of my roller skates too, i was a demon on those things!

drivingintherushhour · 29/04/2012 08:54

Think David Cassidy is looking good because this series was originally shown about 10 years ago....I can remember watching it then.

LetsKateWin · 29/04/2012 08:55

I'm looking forward to next week's too.

We watched Blue Peter and Magpie. We watched all three channels when we were young, but I know a few people my age who were only allowed to watch BBC.
